Dr. Sethi vs Dr. Bansai
ready4Hair replied to ready4Hair's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I didn't realize Bisanga was in Belgium too, looks like an hour apart by train. If I can figure out a way to coordinate I'd do a single trip for both of them. Might put it out 4 months as just started Oral Minox (logged my baseline BP on a new fit watch) and once I can find a way to get labs will start on Xyon too. -

FWIW am starting Oral Minoxidil today. I bought a (sort a cheapo) wrist fit watch, includes BP. I'm just using it for baseline vs super accuracy. So far I hover around 118/75. I'll test Oral M weekly for next 3 months. Still looking for labs that can test specific hormones prior to jumping on the Xyon bandwagon. -

@NegativeNorwood @Melvin- Moderator @Rafael Manelli So both Feriduni and Bisanga think while it is 'great' I'm going to see Feller for donor analysis, doesn't change the fact I need to come see them for evaluation prior regardless. So I guess Feller is for my own edification... -

Hmm it is certainly appealing not having a shaven head for weeks, but not sure if that makes his job harder and results less reliable. -

No one has ever made me feel quite so happy to turn 60 as you Melvin Do you know what 'macrolines' are btw? Dr. Ferudini said to me: "another option would be to work with macrolines, in that case we charge an extra cost of 1,000,-Euro as it complicates the procedure in a significant way. A hair length of 5 cm or longer is required to cover the macrolines after surgery." Is that his version of unshaved fue? -

Well Just for the heck of it I also submitted application to Asmed. 3200-3500 just for front. I assume by the horizontal green line this includes strengthening up existing and behind. -
Just a thought as I see everybody is applying this with their fingertips and given the fact that you want to avoid as much systemic absorption as possible and the fact you want to put as much on your scalp as possible, I found things called finger shields which are made for applying appointment https://www.amazon.com/Baby-Brezza-Finger-Shields-Applicator/dp/B09YG6HWTV/ref=asc_df_B09YG6HWTV/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=598358195237&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15652579990030064358&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9004077&hvtargid=pla-1698309921071&psc=1

Hey thank you. If i'm understanding your post correctly though the two hairlines were from a doctor a and a doctor p(radeep). Is that just their first names? And yes the two hairlines are totally different the hairline you were given is spectacular. If that is the case maybe it makes sense for me to get a quote for doctor sethi Edit: Got it, I saw their first names which you used instead of last I put in a call to my rep to see what the fee is for Dr. Sethi (Dr. P). Right now "Dr. A" is 350 INR ($4.27 USD). Which puts her right around Dr. Feriduni and I believe Dr. Bisanga. Given the hairline Dr. Sethi did for you, most especially the temples, I'd be willing to pay a premium above that but not sure how much. As per prior posts I made, I am having an expert HT here in NY do a detailed analysis of my donor (donor analysis i.e. density, follicular grouping, miniaturisation and caliber) so won't discuss hairlines with him until I have that critical data. -

Still looking for a cooperative lab, trying CityMD again tomorrow. About what should I expect to pay for labs like that? -

I placed order for Oral Minoxidil 2.5mg so will start with that. I'm going to do home BP first for that as well. LabCorp seems to say they can't help, I emailed a local Urgent Care outlet (CityMD) that does Labs, to see if they can do custom for me. Good point on crown and HT. I went through all the topicals years ago, the Dr. Proctor stuff, the Copper Peptides, all the shampoos. Never had enough response to make the bother worth it. So I'll be interested to see how Oral Minox and Xylon affect the hair in the next 1/2 year. -

I'm in but only if I can get lab tests first and then following month. I don't want to guess if it's going to create sexual side effects or not. Definitely doing the Oral Minoxidil though. -

They are also $10 per graft which puts me close to $40k. Noo thanks. But. This gives me confidence they can do an accurate assessment for moving forward. -

Ok so Dr. Feller's consult for density, grouping, miniturizatrion, caliber of donor is $75. I'm going to schedule a consult with him. Also cause my selfie ability is so lacking I'm going to have my GF film me with comb through my donor area too. That should be enough to get really accurate assessment and realistic hairline from all those (and other) doctors. -

I was thinking of the topical dut, since it is more potent and has larger molecular size as far as I can understand. I'm looking for a lab that will do the suggested hormones, so far labcorp says they do not. Question: Do I need to wait until say 3-4 months on those to then go get my donor checked? Or is my donor as is w/o drugs more important (i.e. who wants to transplant hair that needs drugs to survive)? -

Ok Dr. Bisanga replied but only to say he need in-person consult to determine hair density, grouping, miniaturization, caliber of hair, etc. I wrote to ask him if I used Dr. Feller, local reputed HT Surgeon to do that analysis (which he offers and I'm in the process of setting up a consult for) he would accept that as travelling to Belgium is a cost/time investment I don't have right now. But having a real donor assessment to share with Eugenix, Hasson, Feriduni, Bisanga would be very helpful. -

It was for Dr. Bansal doing planning, extraction and then placement of 400 grafts. I like Ferudini as well and he seems to understand the importance of temples. -

@Melvin- Moderator Hi Melvin, quick aside question. Since each doc has recommended drugs to maintain, I guess I'm looking to jump back on that bandwagon again (been many years, none really worked so well). I'm considering Xyon, but would do drug panel first and after. Also considering oral minox. Just wondered your thoughts on these. Thanks!
