I did it 3 years ago and last week I went to him again to do the temples and improve the crown a bit (totaly 1800 grafts). Looking forward to next spring to see the result

Hello HT community,

I am here to get general advice on my current condition. There are some honest guys in this forum who really know what they are talking about.

I have been losing hair since I was 17 (2010) but it really began to concern me about 5 months ago (August of 2016). I am 23 now. I am originally from California but I am currently living in Europe. I would like to take advantage of my proximity to the good doctors here with decent prices before I return to California. I will be in Europe until June of 2017. My plan has been to try medications (minoxidil and finasteride) for 6 months until I decide on a surgeon.

I understand I may need more surgeries down the line. I also understand that I am considered to be relatively young for a HT. I currently do not like my hairline or density and know that I will get a HT so why wait it out. I would like to restore my hairline and add density to the frontal region of my head.

My current regimen:

2ml of Minoxidil daily (1ml before bed and 1ml after waking up)

1mg of Finasteride everyday.

I am looking to get insight on the following questions:

1. How many grafts do you see me getting?

2. Do you think it's too soon for me to get a HT?

3. I apply liquid minoxidil daily. Will I see changes if I switch over to foam?

4. Do you think 1mg of Finasteride everyday is excessive?

5. Is Propecia better than generic Finasteride?

6. FUE or FUT for me (considering my current condition and age)?
