  1. Wholeheartedly recommend Dr Ball / The Maitland Clinic, check out my thread about donor repair and hairline punchouts
  2. I'm sorry to hear what you're going through man...I get echoes of exactly how I felt I suggest you build a plan to both take care of yourself and keep you moving forward towards your goal This will keep your mind focused. A few things towards that end: take care of yourself mentally. It's great that you have people around you (don't burn them out though with obsessive talking about this) take some perspective. You didn't kill anyone (I hope!), you made a mistake rushing into a HT like many of us here. An expensive one that taught you how imperfect surgery can be, but importantly one that you'll be able to correct and will not cause permanent functional loss (a friend of mine just got a messy knee surgery for example, and there is no coming back from that one) eating, sleeping, exercising, working is a common sense, solid routine to keep going through your day In 3 months (6 months post op), plan visits with the best clinics in this kind of repair: Maitland, Feriduni, Hattingen, etc hairlines can be repaired/removed, you've seen my case and many others Your crown loss is small, and no one really cares how spiky or frizzy those hairs are, in time they will grow much better For the redness, you can start using some silicone gel or other protective creams to help the skin heal Hope it helps!
  3. Hey man, it looks as you'd expect after removing some 1500 grafts (delta between first HT and what was restocked + some lower growth included) from donor with a proper extraction pattern - Dr Ball did a tremendous job homogenizing it so I can cut my hair to a 1-2 guard without visible density difference Dr Ball indeed went down to the back of the head but less so, you can see it in the photos - this was intentional as my focus was on the sides where I had lower density to begin with and the overharvesting was visible How's your donor looking now couple of months postop? I had a quick look again, your extraction pattern seems much better than mine was
  4. Sorry to hear you went through this, I know exactly how you feel, I was very self conscious about my decimated donor until I got my repairs done Unfortunately, donor repair is expensive territory....I echo the list Berba was giving you and you have my own experience with Dr Ball as testimonial to their quality Other good options that might be coming in on a lower price point would be Devroye in Belgium and Bruno Ferreira in Portugal, who have experience in this area Best of luck!
  5. Fully agreed w Berba SMP will only make the surgeon's work more difficult during the next restocking session
  6. Thank you Gatsby. It feels great not having to bother about it anymore
  7. Thanks mate. Undergoing this repair with Dr Ball was amazing, both physically and mentally I remember your thread, hope this helps you in your decision/next steps. Don't hesitate to ask if you need a hand
  8. Hey, as you said the deed is done, best to look forward now, don't let it get to you and mentally drag you down from your regular life Give it 6 months to grow and get a proper feel for how it will turn out, then run a few consultations with the top surgeons and decide if/how you'd like to correct it - punchouts and rolling back hairlines are becoming more and more the norm these days unfortunately
  9. I cannot say for Pitella's megasessions, however for large sessions (4-5k grafts) both FUE and FUT I wouldn't hesitate to go with Sever / Laura Muresanu. Excellent track record, ethical and honest This also alleviates a lot of risk for you, doing it in 2 sessions and being able to course correct as needed between the two rounds
  10. Love the new hairline shape, very smart what you did to go back through timeline photos and design it just right You look like you'll be fully healed in no time as well! Welcome to #punchoutclub 🙂
  11. I understand. Maybe HDC or Michalis could be an option, or otherwise see the other recommended surgeons list
  12. Well, people are used to having a tolerance range for "normal" and at the same time don't pay nearly as much attention to it as you do yourself. As for this forum, folks here we all have a heightened focus to hairlines so of course you'll get more precise feedback Take that as a good thing - you don't have to cover up for the next x months, feeling Quasimodo-ish 🙂 Last note about your 2nd surgery: as you are already cautious about this, focused on detail and with a kind of "repair" in mind, you may want to consider a top tier surgeon in Europe instead. Saying this as to me, Eugenix results don't always end up being the most refined, even if they're not botched by any means
  13. Hi, I can see why the shape bothers you It's not dramatic and it certainly happens in nature (I myself always had an odd recession in the middle of my natural hairline), but your point is warranted that this was likely a slip-up rather than intentional As Berba was saying, give it time to grow, and then decide - you can then either fill in the shape to match the other side (Eugenix can do this), or remove some grafts (punch or electrolysis, which they can't), either way it'll end up more symmetrical As for going back to Eugenix for round 2 crown area, that's your choice. I would however evaluate it based on growth (crown is a tough area to get good growth), density and how well they homogenized your donor, especially as it will look more sparse after surgery #2
  14. Perfectly articulated A lot of people think of HTs as a temp solution to buy themselves 5-10 years of hair, but it's a one way street really
