  1. Hi, I got a haircut today and noticed this area. I compared to earlier photos and this spot was not there before. Does anyone know what this might be? Thanks.
  2. @Berba11 @Paul_ @TakeAction Thank you all for the feedback/advice. Much appreciated.
  3. Hi @Berba11, Thank you for the feedback. As far as my explanation, ever since being diagnosed with MPB and starting Finasteride, developing side effects, and Post Finasteride Syndrome, I have been dealing with severe anxiety/depression/suicidal ideation (diagnosed by psychiatrist). Although it is not 100% captured by photos, my hair is definitely thinning and am not able to style my hair the same as before. I probably spend many hours per day researching and obsessing over hair loss… I was hoping that getting a transplant would be able to improve my situation and improve my self esteem/mental health. Thank you for the real advice I needed to hear, I probably have some type of mental illness as hair loss affects my mental state more than most…
  4. Hi All, I am looking to get a hair transplant this year, would love some advice or feedback regarding my current situation. I will be 27 in December, and currently on 3.75mg Oral Minox daily. I’ve been off Finasteride due to sexual side effects. I have diffuse thinning throughout the scalp, more notably in the hairline. (Pls see below picture for area circled in red). I am thinking of going with DR. RATCHATHORN PANCHAPRATEEP from Absolute Hair Clinic, as it seems she has good results with diffuse thinning cases. I am looking to improve the hairline (not lower, only fill in gaps) and implant grafts into diffuse thinning areas. Does anyone have any feedback/advice/recommendations on hair transplant surgeons? Thanks.
  5. Hi, I've been seeing several posts by leading hair transplant clinics where the patient is only on Oral Minoxidil only, no Finasteride. I was under previous impression that Finasteride was required to be considered a candidate for a hair transplant. However, for those like myself who cannot tolerate Finasteride and can only take Oral Minoxidil, does this mean I am able to have a hair transplant in the future? This is the post I am referring to, patient is only on Oral Minoxidil but got a good result:
  6. Hi all, I am currently still recovering from sexual side effects most likely from Finasteride use. I am almost 3 months off Finasteride. However, during this time I have seen continued hair loss. Should I try topical Dutasteride while I am still recovering? Getting anxious about continued hair loss while still dealing with side effects. Would appreciate any advice. Thanks!
  7. Hi all, does anyone have experience with getting a HT using only Oral Min but no Fin? How did it turn out for you? Got sides from finasteride unfortunately and still recovering, thinking that I may need to get a HT without fin and using oral min only, but not sure if this is the best idea. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks.
  8. Hi all, I am noticing some weird thinning on my temple peak area. I am also on 5mg oral minox daily (No fin). Is this classic AGA?
  9. Hi Everyone, I’ve been noticing some weird thinning in the temple peak area on my left side only. Is this classic AGA?
  10. My side effects are 100% sexual (Low Libido and ED). How long did it take for you to return to normal? If/When fully recovered from sides, would you recommend starting Finasteride again on a low dose / Topical ? Thanks.
  11. I took 1mg daily for 8 months, got sexual side effects, started microdosing/topical finasteride for another 6 months with no improvements in sides, been off for 2 months now
  12. Yes, I would say same, around 30-40%. I read that most people are supposed to make full recovery after a few weeks?
  13. 26 and have not taken ED medications yet
  14. Hi All, I have been off Finasteride for 8 weeks now, with barely any improvement in my sexual side effects. From what I've read, most users will have side effects disappear quickly after stopping the medication. As its now been 8 weeks off the drug, I am getting concerned that this may be a case of Post Finasteride Syndrome. Has anyone experienced the same thing or have any advice? Thank you. @Melvin- Admin As you've dealt with these side effects in the past, do you have any advice? Much appreciated.
  15. The dermatologist said I had temple recession. I had also been noticing a lack of density overall (harder to style hair the same way) and was diagnosed with diffuse thinning also. This photo is a comparison before finasteride vs. 8 months on 1mg daily (before I got hit with the sexual side effects). This photo can perhaps show the temple recession more clearly. Once my side effects are fully recovered, will give it one more shot with 0.025% Topical Finasteride. Really hoping I will be able to tolerate it. Thanks.
