Michael1977
Dear All, I would like to express my gratitude for all the wonderful advice that has been given through this forum, it has helped immensely to gather the data that I require for choosing a HT surgeon. I am in my early 30's and started to loose my hair when I was approx. 24 years old. I went to a hair specialist here in Denmark (Lars Skj????th, Hair Specialist) who recommended that I start using a blend of various mixtures to clan my scalp for impurities and massage my hair daily after putting an extract along with Regaine forte. After some years, since my hair line was still receding, he recommended a small transplant on my temples, the hair specialist whom I consulted recommended DHI in Greece since they at that time had a cooperation, and after some consideration I took the decision to get approx. 2000 grafts FUE through DHI on temples. I must say that I have not been satisfied with the work that has been done compared to the great results I have seen else where on this forum. The mistake is mine of course and I cannot blame anyone that I did not do my research correctly. The damage was done and the density, well is not satisfactory. I truly hope that this can be repaired, furthermore, my crown area has also started to decrease in hair density and I am considering a hair transplant on that area as well. I was told by the hair specialist that currently it is limited the amount of grafts that can be placed therefore I am also looking to this forum to get a second opinion. He recommended a Dr. Santos (previously used to work in DHI) I was told that he has performed more than 15.000 HT's. Given the past experience I came to this forum to gather the feedback and see some of the great results first hand.. I have looked at the great results from truly competent experts as Dr. Hasson, Dr. Wong and also Dr. Rahal, and I look to you to give me some feedback on if I am eligible for a hair transplant? Also I know that this forum is unbiased therefore I hope that you can also give me some indication on who I should choose if I am eligible for a HT. Currently I have narrowed my list to, Dr. Hasson, Dr. Wong and also Dr. Rahal. I look forward to your feedback. Thank you and greetings from Copenhagen, Denmark Michael

Senior Member thanatopsis_awry Posted July 21, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted July 21, 2008 Your hair looks pretty wet; that said, the only thing I see that looks a bit awry is your sides do look very thinned, but that could easily be attributed to the water. You got jobbed by DHI, but without a doubt you can get an excellent result -- just make sure you go to a top clinic this go around, which it seems you will. I'd guess ~4k grafts for you would be toptop. ----------- *A Follicles Dying Wish To Clinics* 1 top-down, 1 portrait, 1 side-shot, 1 hairline....4 photos. No flash. Follicles have asked for centuries, in ten languages, as many times so as to confuse a mathematician. Enough is enough! Give me documentation or give me death! Guest josh - b
i suspect that when dry your hair looks pretty ok. Unfortunately dhi have a very poor reputation as you've now found out first hand. The 3 doctors you are considering are indeed amongst the best in the world but as its primarily your crown that needs attention i would lean towards dr wong who has a particularily fine reputation when it comes to crown work.
