CJM
These are some before - during and after photos of my first DHI hair transplant. I received 3500 hairs (I hope) I used to use hair thickening spray and have standard length hair before the procedure. Now I haven't used a brush or comb for over 3 months as I keep the rest of my hair really short so the transplanted hair can eventually catch up. I look a bit of a hard man at present untill my hair length increases. Ive added 2 more photos of the results 12 months on and so far I've been content - would love a fuller head of hair and am considering another top - up treatment. The main problem that many of the hairs that were there since birth (ie :not the transplanted hairs) have all nearly disappeared due to the natural baldness syndrome. I'tS replacing these hairs that will make a big difference to the thickness outlook.
Senior Member thanatopsis_awry Posted July 8, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted July 8, 2008 Was this 3500 hairs or 3500 grafts? Unfortunately, I myself have really only heard poor things about DHI; I wish you the best, of course, in your growth, and hope that your doctor was the right person for you and that you update the forum as your results come in. I know nothing of the particular surgeon who happened to work on you, so possibly she hopefully she is a diamond in the rough. ----------- *A Follicles Dying Wish To Clinics* 1 top-down, 1 portrait, 1 side-shot, 1 hairline....4 photos. Regular Member hairscout Posted July 8, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted July 8, 2008 Hi CJM, What research did you do before deciding to go to this clinic? Why did you opt for FUE over the higher-yield strip method? hs. These views are from my own learned experience. I am NOT a Doctor, but people say that I do look like one from a distance. CJM
I was about to book a session of "strip surgery" untill I discovered the less painfull method of the DHI method. Id had some cosmetic dentistry in the form of veneers and any amount of pain wasn't a consideration after that. I was really put off the strip surgery by the large scar associated with it and the fact it would have been a lot more invasive. The DHI company leaves a lot to be desired as regards professionalism but the method used was so easy. (As long as I still agree in 10 months time of course)

Senior Member thanatopsis_awry Posted July 8, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted July 8, 2008 I'm glad the procedure was painless -- FUE, which DHI likes to employ. Again, keep us posted with your results as they come in! ----------- *A Follicles Dying Wish To Clinics* 1 top-down, 1 portrait, 1 side-shot, 1 hairline....4 photos. No flash.
