Senior Member notgoing2gobald Posted February 19, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted February 19, 2008 I think most guys who shave right away do so right after the staples are removed at 10-14 days post op... then you may resume your Wii golf. Senior Member notgoing2gobald Posted February 19, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted February 19, 2008 first you were gonna go swing a few rounds on the course the DAY after your surgery, now your worried about buzzing it 2 weeks post op? Im sure it's a bit tender, but from my understanding this is when a lot of guys do it.

Senior Member thanatopsis_awry Posted February 19, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted February 19, 2008 It's def a little tender when you buzz it 2 weeks or w/e post-op, after your staple/suture removal -- at least it was for me, and I'd imagine most others. Just make sure whoever is doing it is doing it with caution and delicacy when in that region....you'll be fine buzzing, though, post-op to help even things up. ----------- *A Follicles Dying Wish To Clinics* 1 top-down, 1 portrait, 1 side-shot, 1 hairline....4 photos. Why don't you just have them shave it all right before the procedure? Or, shave it the day before. By the time you need to do it again it'll be 6 weeks or so and you'll be fine. Then again, are they requiring a shave? Some do and some don't. I would personally just tell them to shave it all immediately, wear a hat for a couple of weeks then put some of that Dermmatch on it for 3 - 4 months. 100? Senior Member nobuzz4me Posted February 19, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted February 19, 2008 I agree with Thanatop, Tha area will be tender fo several weeks, I'd be careful. Dewayne, If you shaved it all down, your strip scar will show and look like you just go back from brain surgery. I never had the recipient area shaved in my HTs (many docs don't require it) and was able to look normal 10-14 days post, and keep the scar covered with hair in the back araound 1/2 to 3/4 inch. Good luck next month! NoBuzz
Bill - Seemiller
You could always request that your head is shaved for the procedure (if it is not already being done). For me, I shaved my head to a 5 clip and then had my recipient area shaved for my third surgery. By 3 days postop, I shaved the sides and back of my head but was very cautious around the staples. Of course, there was some longer hair that I couldn't get around the scar, but I did get it pretty even. Bill
