Senior Member YouOnlyLiveOnce Posted December 19, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted December 19, 2010 The lighting is a bit rough. Its hard to assess the growth at all. Still very early though. You must be right where I'm at +/- a day. I'm still hangin in there with some growth. Lots of baby hairs poppin in but nothing too significant just yet

Regular Member FrankyKnuckles Posted December 19, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted December 19, 2010 it's hard to tell. the lighting is pretty harsh as mentioned and the pics arent really high quality.good news is its still early though......question for you though....are you going to work everyday with part of your head shaved and the back grown out like that? Regular Member secondtime Posted December 22, 2010 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 22, 2010 (edited) in answer to your question franky. Yes I have not missed work, in fact unfortunately I started a new job 1 month ago as a director of a program and practicing doctor. Do I look good ? NO! Do people notice? Off course! Does everyone notice ? NO I can tell some eyes don't wonder up there. ANd I think the shaving on sides made the lines less visible than before that ( i asked two people they agree) as far as why did I leave it a little longer in back, it is cause of my huge incision from previous surgery. thats why anyone who does open surgery is litterally crazy, I dont think FUE is better it is almost equal and without the scar...the scar is a huge issue for people who lilke short hair...If I didnt have that I would shave everything off and wait. the lighting is very strong but the cam is bad quality. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/attachment.php?attachmentid=11272&d=1292728642 this one is clearest . I will wait for my new phone i will take pics with it. meanwhile you can tell there is growth, its not enough to judge anything but you can clearly see the growth and hairline. nothing to be proud of yet , so I humbly lower my head till all is over, and if I dont get what I need I will live with this extreme handicap. Meanwhile I will keep updating very frequently Edited December 22, 2010 by secondtime
Regular Member FrankyKnuckles Posted December 22, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted December 22, 2010 well starting a new job, especially as a director, is not a bad thing in today's economy so no need to say 'unfortunately' yea i was just curious as to what has been the reactions of others wearing your hair like that and if anybody asked you questions. i know at my job a few who would be up in my face immediately asking why is my hair cut like that so i'd most likely have to tell them why. anyways, this pic is a lot clearer and does look like hair is growing, well, it looks like your face is framed now, but hard to distinguish what was old hair and what is new. it looks mostly new because i think you had a receding hairline before correct? also about your comment in regards to fue scarring - are you saying your scars from fue are just as visible as your strip scar in the back of your head? i plan on keeping my hair really low if i get FUE done and am waiting to see your results before contacting Umar for a consult. Senior Member Sean Posted January 21, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted January 21, 2011 At 3 1/2 months I can see a lot of hairs growing in those pictures as well. You still have months to grow and things look like they are going well. I think the transplant will work. It's just going to get better and better. Got many more months of growing until the final result. It's too early right now especially under bright light. good luck

Senior Member HARIRI Posted January 23, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted January 23, 2011 With all my respect to others, Although i dont know Dr Umar very well, But I respect the man very much, cause he never refuse patients and he can repair the worst cases, I believe i have seen a case that breaks the heart, that so many doctors refused to treat it, but when Dr Umar took it, he fixed it pretty well. I consider him the 911 HT Doc, the rescue ranger. never said no to any repair case. Respect. Regular Member uselessgomez Posted February 10, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted February 10, 2011 I think the improvement over the last month is really dramatic. I am liking what I see. It's looking a lot more dense and the redness is not hardly visible at all anymore. You should be proud of yourself for toughing this out. I think your results are going to be great based on what I'm seeing.

Senior Member Atticus Posted February 16, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted February 16, 2011 Wow!!!!!!! You look great for only 4 months!!!!!!!!! Excellent hairline design. Dr. Umar shot 600 nape hairs into my hairline. I inherited an Eddy Munster/Dracula hairline from my father. I got sick of all the mickey mouse jokes, so I had it repaired, and I have to say this was the best investment I ever made!!!!!! My pix used to be on here, I think they still are. As far as nape hair, I am not concerned in the least. On both sides of my family, the men have A LOT of nape hair even in their 70 and 80s. To be honest, many doctors don't want to touch nape hair because they are not skilled enough to extract it intact. You look good man!!!! It will only get better over time. Regular Member secondtime Posted March 2, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 2, 2011 It is almost 5 months ....in a week or two I hope to give another update with pics, holding on to the professional ones till about 6-8 months. I am just amazed now at the thickening process, many many more small hairs are showing, newer batch of pimples and growth... a factory of small hairs adding to the other ones filling gaps connecting edges and dots... I am just HAPPY , my personality changes back I can look people straight in the eyes, my confidence increased, I DO NOT WEAR HATS I AM THROWING THEM ALL IN THE TRASH ALL THE HATS, i am now ALLERGIC to hats, it reminds me of the bitter past. I still hope to fill one small 'hole' area on the left side....I wish Dr Umar also did my old scar filling like he promised, he said he can do that one day ....than I could cut my hair short from the back like I want it to be always super short. FUE is amazing, the quality of the hair is improving, as it is softening, thickening, straightening, blending ... The direction of the hair is fantastic small hairs are grwoing outside the actual hairline making the hairline look so natural, so amazing, I just cant stop describing the DAILY change in the hair....it is like a growing child , plants , awesomeness!
