Regular Member Fante Posted January 8, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted January 8, 2011 Is it similar to the methods used by Dr. Feller, Dr. Harris, or Dr. Shapiro(s)?
Regular Member uselessgomez Posted January 8, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted January 8, 2011 I don't even know if those 3 docs use similar methods themselves.
Regular Member Fante Posted January 8, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 8, 2011 Sorry, my original post was unclear. I meant to say that all three of those docs use different methods. Harris has the SAFE scribe, Feller has some kind of motorized thing, and I don't know about the Shapiros. My question is: does Dr. Rahal use his own special system or one that is used by other docs? Regular Member uselessgomez Posted January 9, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted January 9, 2011 No clue. Have you tried asking him? I hear a lot of good things about him. I'm sure if he's a good ethical doctor he will tell you, or at least give you enough information to make an informed decision.
Regular Member Thanos60 Posted January 18, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted January 18, 2011 Does anyone have any more information on this, what type of FUE tool/technique he is using? Dr. Rahal seems very good for FUT work, and has recently incorporated FUE into his practice. Just wondering, if his FUE results will be the same compared to FUT work... Senior Member MusoInOz Posted January 19, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted January 19, 2011 Thanos60 & Fante...hello! I do not think Dr Rahal has many IF any fully grown out FUE cases as yet. I have read on other HT forums that Dr Rahal had previously dabbled with FUE (many years ago) and abandoned the procedure to concentrate on FUT, though I could be mistaken and will most likely be lawyered by a senior poster following my statement. The best bet would be emailing the clinic outlining your current concerns. From knowledge I have heard Dr Rahal is utilising the Ninja slit technique accompanied by a 16th Century Japanese Katana Blade to make incisions, this with the aid of a 14.5t excavator for FUE harvesting is creating top notch results. *Kidding* Cheers, "The road to success is always under construction" I represent Dr Rahal and the associated clinic as a paid patient advisor. Regular Member Thanos60 Posted January 19, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted January 19, 2011 (edited) Hey thanks for your replies! The extraction part of FUE seems to be the most critical point, since the incisions & placement of grafts, hairline design seems to have already been mastered by him and his team. Does the yield of grafts (i.e-obtaining good grafts versus damaged grafts) depend on the surgeon's ability to extract them?
