jonny24
I had an eyebrow transplant 5 days ago and had been using a saline spray regularly but stopped on the third day because my eyes had started to become quite irritated. They are still hurting and i daren't use my hands to open up my eyelids and rinse the eyes with water in case i dislodge some of the grafts nestling just above. I have tried spraying small amounts of cold water but it seems to further irritate the eye-i think some of the solution had evidently dried on my eyelashes and spraying causes it to dissolve and enter my eyes. I'm rather worried in case my eye might be being damaged in some way and also that as they are bloodshot that perhaps the blood supply in the vicinity is being diverted to my eye rather than helping to 'feed' the grafts in the eyebrow area. Are these at all legitimate concerns or needless anxiety on my part? Also is there anything i should be doing to help reduce the sensitivity of both eyes? Senior Member aaron1234 Posted August 31, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted August 31, 2011 I would talk to your doctor ASAP. This is not a common dilemma to find on the forums and blogs. Eyebrow transplants are quite rare. Senior Member Sparky Posted August 31, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted August 31, 2011 Saline won't damage your eyes it's only salt water, it could irritate them though. Also your grafts won't be lacking in blood supply because of this at all. The grafts won't suffer from not using the saline either, just continue on with the other post op instructions and don't worry about the saline, sure consult the doc about your eyes if they still hurt, but you know exactly why they are hurting, my eyes hurt if I go swimming in the sea. Senior Member Sparky Posted August 31, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted August 31, 2011 I'd use cotton wool with water to wipe your eye lids etc.... My Hairloss Website http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2198
