Regular Member jdubdoubleu Posted May 1, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted May 1, 2012 I've had my hair transplant on April 25th. Should I still be sleeping in a incline position or is it ok now to sleep laying flat?

Senior Member hair1978 Posted May 1, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted May 1, 2012 It you had FUE, laying your head flat will feel extremely weird for several weeks. The pillow feels like a metal plate against your head. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2294
Senior Member Shampoo Posted May 2, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted May 2, 2012 If you still have swelling, YES!!! Still sleep in a recliner, I know, IT BLOWS!!! Sounds like my adjustable bed will be helpful for something besides curing my acid reflux! Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted May 9, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted May 9, 2012 For frontal cases I tell people to sleep propped up for 3 or 4 days....and they'll swell less but sleep worse. OR they can sleep flat and sleep better but look much worse for the first 4 days.... Really makes no difference after 7 or 8 days. I'd guess that 90% of our patients sleep upright as directed and about 1 a month sleeps flat. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA William H.
