Regular Member tuja Posted June 19, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted June 19, 2012 (edited) I had undergone HT with Dr. Radha, thanks for all the people putting their experiences for so long, I have been following this forum for sometime now, and decided to take the plunge. Below is my hairloss blog. Seniors. experienced people, please comment what to expect. Currently feeling lot of stretch on my scar. Doctor had told me I had very less laxity and that's why less donor hairs and many weak hairs leading to not so expected a result. But I am still hopeful.... Looking forward to your feedback. cheers tuja Hair Restoration Site for tuja Edited June 20, 2012 by tuja adding pics tuja One HT: 2900 Grafts with Dr. Radha
Senior Member AllAboutHair Posted June 19, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 19, 2012 First of all Congrats that you have chosen good surgeon. You said that your donor laxity is poor, but still 2900 is a very good number of grafts you got. You should be happy for that. Secondly, I could not see the pictures. Check whether you pictures are properly uploaded or not.

Regular Member tuja Posted June 20, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 20, 2012 (edited) Hi David, I have uploaded all the pictures on this forum itself and also tried to upload on the hairloss blog but I dont think that particular place is efficient to take inputs. I have uploaded jpg files but it was creating problems by showing some pics and not showing some. Nevertheless, I am very eager to know the feeedback on how things are looking at the moment, ofcourse there is pain/uneasiness with respect to scar tightening but i think it shall go in coming 2-3 days once the sutures are removed. Experience with Dr. Radha was great, I always wish all people in the world if like her it will be a great place to live. She is happy, calm, straight to the point, humble and practical. No false promises, very courteous, great experience with her. Now I am just hoping to see good growth, no high hopes because she told me you have many weak hairs which she has also transplanted, but she said I shall definitely look better going forward. Mankind lives on hope and so I do. Please give flurry of unbiased comments whether it is looking gud/bad/ugly/normal/abnormal whatever.....i will be happy to get honest feedback from experienced patrons on this forum.... cheers, Edited June 20, 2012 by tuja tuja One HT: 2900 Grafts with Dr. Radha

Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted June 21, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 21, 2012 Tuja, The work looks very clean and refined and the overall design is a great use of 2900 grafts. The new hairline is going to to frame your face nicely. Congratulations! Please keep us posted on your progress. Regular Member Cartesian Posted June 21, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted June 21, 2012 Tuja: Congratulations ! The work looks very refined. Dr. Radha does not have even a single negative feedback, which is evident that she does a great work. Also she indicated to you of the weak hair, which shows her straight forward nature. The work on the scalp looks very neat and close. I am very sure you would have a facelift after the hair shows up. As again, we cannot expect to see changes at least until 6 months mark. Keep us posted of the progress.
Senior Member RCWest Posted June 21, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 21, 2012 Congratulations on your surgery with Dr. Radha! I'm sad to hear she could only get 2900, but it's better to do it in slightly smaller sessions than to risk a wide scar from too much tension. If you plan on a second procedure, you should try the scalp exercises shown on here. Jotronic made a great video about it. Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily Avodart 0.5 mg. daily Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily 5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily Biotin 1000 mcg daily Multi Vitamin daily Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? Senior Member AllAboutHair Posted June 21, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 21, 2012 Dont worry, the sutures removal process will be very easy and painless. But make sure you go to right person to get it removed need not be doctor. Tightness will be there atleast for 15 days as it was in my case. After that, slowly you will regain normal laxity again
Senior Member RodG Posted June 22, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 22, 2012 Hi Tuja, I think Doctor Radha Rani's work looks good. I had my HT with her at her clinic almost 5 months ago and I mirror your comments. Sit back and relax and wait for the results to come in. Regular Member tuja Posted July 3, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 3, 2012 (edited) Dear All, Please see and comment on my 15th day post-op pics. I think scar is not healing as fast as it should probably because of monsoon in Mumbai. I have also updated the pics on my hairblog; but unable to get the link, somebody may tell me how to put that link here. tuja Edited July 3, 2012 by tuja tuja One HT: 2900 Grafts with Dr. Radha
Senior Member AllAboutHair Posted July 5, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted July 5, 2012 It takes 25 to 35 days to heal fully, My scar healed fully by 30 days. I think there should not be any impact of monsoon on your scar
Regular Member tuja Posted July 16, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 16, 2012 My surgery happened on 18th June 2012. I have huge shock loss on the sides, little disappointed now that I see the back part where there is no transplant and looking at my condition it seems it will be difficult to get 2nd one even if this will be successful. Doctor told me so anyways. There is big spot on the left top where some grafts have came off. There were few small hairs which have fallen, I am assuming this has happened as part of graft falling in the beginning, just hoping all will grow back. From the back side there were many hairs which just came off in a group I am assuming that is part of shock loss and they will grow back again over a period of time. Will get a close haircut now as the 1 month has passed. tuja One HT: 2900 Grafts with Dr. Radha
Senior Member AllAboutHair Posted July 16, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted July 16, 2012 U r progressing well.. Keep updating. Your scar looks almost healed. Needs some more time to mix well with skin tone. Did you start shedding grafts?
Regular Member tuja Posted July 17, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 17, 2012 (edited) I am not shedding grafts as yet, I have shed a few...I dont know whether that was shedding or it just came off.....kindda worried on that account......but grafts are very small....i will go for a haircut today/tomm. hoping to see an even head then... Did you shed grafts after 1 month. Today is exaclty one month....i haven't seen significant shedding but dont know how it will pan out in next few days.....I am feeling itching kindda thing after shower...i dont know if that is because of tugain foam i am using or it is generally that healing thing.
