Regular Member Ronald Posted September 22, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted September 22, 2009 .....the general cutoff for hair transplant surgery? I know that doctors will make assessments on a case by case basis.....but in general, what happens after 25 years old that makes it the general cutoff age? Senior Member aaron1234 Posted September 22, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted September 22, 2009 I think 25 is more an average. Some 22-24 years old maybe a candidate for HT's, while some 26-28 year olds might not be. It probably depends more on how clear the balding pattern is. Most men 25 and under don't have a clear idea on how their future hair loss will be. Senior Member thanatopsis_awry Posted September 23, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted September 23, 2009 25 is just an arbitrary number as far as I'm concerned. But aaron is right that if you were to speak in generalizations, it is a pretty decent number as far as numbers go for making a guideline on what is/isn't an "ideal" age. ----------- *A Follicles Dying Wish To Clinics* 1 top-down, 1 portrait, 1 side-shot, 1 hairline....4 photos. Regular Member Lahore Posted September 23, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted September 23, 2009 Hi! i think at 25 years of age ,both patient and doctor can estimate baldness pattern.Whether it is mature baldness or still shedding is continuous and if there is no more shedding then restoration can be done. Senior Member Sparky Posted September 23, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted September 23, 2009 Also it has been determined that the male mind isnt as capable of making decisions that could affect the future until 25 onwards, of course this varies from person to person, but in my experience I believe there to be some truth in it.
