Regular Member mixedguy Posted March 27, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted March 27, 2013 Ok so I'm about 5 months post op and I'm ready to start working out. I sweat a lot and I'm worried about doing damage to the grafts. Does excessive sweating cause any damage to your new HT? Also, I've heard that's it's not good to expose your new HT to the sun too much. Is it ok to play basketball or other physical activities outside in the sun? Would it be better to do something outside?
Senior Member Eman Posted March 27, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted March 27, 2013 Sweat it out, swim, play ball, workout hard...all are fine on the grafts at this point. Wear sunscreen on your scalp. The healing process is different for everyone, so just take care of your scalp not only for your new HT but also for your skin! My initial HT thread: done and done!! Check it out...

Senior Member greatjob Posted March 27, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted March 27, 2013 you could have started cardio and such at 1 month post op, so you will be more than fine by now. I think most doctors recommend staying out of direct sunlight til about 6 months post op, so I would just wear a hat or bandana. If your really concerned I would contact your doctor and see what they say.
