Senior Member s2thoudriver Posted April 16, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted April 16, 2013 Well, after a fantastic experience and results following on from my FUE procedure 10 months ago in Istanbul, i am returning there within the month for some additional work. I've always had some excess fat (Gynaecomastia) on my chest and am in a position now where i have the time and funds available to have them sorted and boost my persoanl confidence at the same time. I have always gone to the gym, worked out as best i can and eaten as healthily as possible, but to no avail. I am going to be using the same company who did my HT (Health Travel International) as i was blown away by the surgeons, facilities and patient care they provided me last time i was there, i simply won't use anyone else now. So, what's planned... I am having the chest area reduced, Gynaecomastia, with nipple reduction (i want them flatter to my chest) and whilst there, having Paloma SlimLipo on my ABS and flanks to tone me up. The surgeons have reviewed my photos and have advised me that i could require a tummy tuck when they've done the fat removal, but will only know when they have done the laser lipo and assessed the laxity of the skin. I'm actually a little more nervous about this procedure as it's more invasive than my HT, but i know i'm in safe hands. I'll be put under general anaesthetic due to several procedures being done over a longer period. If anyone is interested, i'll do a blog on here in case others are contemplating one of, or all of these procedures? What do you think?? Worthwhile? Voice your thoughts now and if there's enough interest, i'll get some photos up etc and start documenting things. Senior Member s2thoudriver Posted April 16, 2013 Author Senior Member Share Posted April 16, 2013 It sounds like a lot but its not really. It'll only be a couple of tiny incisions and the rest is just melting fat with the laser, sculpting the shape and sucking out the excess. There's no muscle work or major reconstructive surgery. The Paloma laser lipo is far less traumatic to the body than traditional lipo as the traditional type rips connecting tissue, whereas the laser melts fat around the connective tissue, meaning less bruising, swelling and reduced recovery time. I'll be up and about after 24hrs. Nervous but excited! 2800 FUE, Istanbul
Senior Member s2thoudriver Posted May 6, 2013 Author Senior Member Share Posted May 6, 2013 Hi All, Well, I fly back out to Istanbul tomorrow for my procedures. Blood tests etc on Wednesday then all procedures being done in one session on Thursday. Nervous but excited. I know I'm in safe hands as I've used the company before to do my HT. I'll keep you all posted on progress :-) Cheers Rob 2800 FUE, Istanbul

Senior Member s2thoudriver Posted May 28, 2013 Author Senior Member Share Posted May 28, 2013 Hi Johnnydrama Thanks for the note. Yes, i'm very much alive and very very well thankyou. It's now 2 weeks post procedures and i am already seeing major results, i'm over the moon! I have to say, the amount of work i had done in one session was pushing the boundaries a little and the surgeon even told me he did not want to do any more than that. So, to summarise, i had the following: Paloma laser lipo on the following ares: Chest, abs, flanks, lower back, pelvic area. I also hs breast tissue removed and my nipple diameter reduced and protrution also reduced. The result... no more man boobs, almost flat nipples (which im my eyes look perfect) and a whopping 3.5 litres of fat removed from my overall torso!! My waist size has dropped from a 34"w to a 30-31" already and i've already been out buying slim fit shirts and new trousers! The private hospital facilities were absolutely amazing, both in terms of the medical experience and the cleanliness/luxury of the place (but i already knew that as i used the company for my HT). The surgeon can only be described as a genius.. he has over 15years experience of surgery and it shows!! I'm only 2 weeks post op and the swelling is 80% gone, no bruising at all and the 1mm laser lipo incision marks are all but gone! Scarring is also non existent on my nipples. I'm blown away by how clean the whole surgery is. There are no fat lumps, saggy skin (the Paloma laser helps tighten skin too, so there was no need for a tummy tuck whilst there). Pain wise...obviously the firat 24hrs was a little painful as i'd just had my whole torso worked on, but within 24hrs i was up and about. Day 3 i was walking to the shops and after a week the pain had subsided. I had 3 trips back to the hospital so the surgeon could closely monitor my progress in the initial few days (not just kicked out of the door and waved goodbye like most places!!). It now all just feels tight, but that is partly due to the compression suit i have to wear for the month post op. It'll take about 2 months for all the swelling to completely go and the skin to fully tighten, so it's just a waiting game. So far so good though as i have the body i used to have when i was 18 years old already!! Just desperate to get back into the gym to put some muscle back on as i've not been for 3-4 weeks and am not allowed to go for another 2 weeks. For now, it's no carbohydrates, no exercise, no booze and rest and recoup, which is fine as it'll be worth it. Money well spent, very happy and was glad i went back to use the company i used before for my HT, they really are the best available!! I simply wouldn't go anywhere else. I'll put some pics up when i get home if anyone is interested. Keep in mind though, i'm only 2 weeks post op so it's not the end result. Senior Member OtherSyde Posted May 30, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted May 30, 2013 OMG! I'm totally bent on some tummy/abs laser-lipo too; I work out a lot and I'm naturally super-skinny, but I can't gain any weight in my chest, arms, shoulders, chest, etc. without my tummy puffing up first! And I have to lose all the weight all over the rest of my body and weigh about 138lbs before the belly fat finally goes away. I mean it's easy for me to weigh 138lbs - all I have to do is not work out for a couple weeks and do a little cardio - but I don't want to be that scrawny just to keep my belly flat. It's so frustrating and my genetically programmed fat-storage belly area keeps undermining my workout efforts; it's the only place on my body that ever shows fat. Can you post before/after photos please? I'm stoked for your success, and really curious about the effectiveness of the Paloma laser! Senior Member Atticus Posted June 23, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted June 23, 2013 (edited) Congrats on your make over, that is amazing. Smart lipo is tiny incision, and then the laser is used to tighten the skin. I have had smart lipo under me neck, pecks area/back area, and my stomach. These procedures are so non invasive and do not require aneathesia, you remain awake. The area is numbed so you don't feel anything, and that's pretty much it. I used Dr. Thomas W. Barnes in Newport Beach, and highly recommend him. Senior Member agenteye Posted July 1, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted July 1, 2013 I'd like to know more as well on the result of this.....and your overall satisfaction at this point as well. You seemed to have been thrilled your last post.....is this still the case? I actually weighed 302lbs when I graduated high school at 18 years old. With diet and exercise, I lost 160 lbs over the course of two years......and because of it, had a full tummy tuck/lipo in my chest to remove extra fat and skin. I'm very physically fit now.....but there are certainly a couple of areas I'd consider addressing in the future if I thought that it was worth it price/time/satisfaction wise. 4737 FUT with Dr. Rahal on 11/16/2012 Daily regimen: 1/4 Proscar (1.25 mg Finasteride), Rogaine Foam (twice daily), 1000 mcg Biotin, 1 combo Vitamin D/Calcium/Magnesium, 1500 mg Glocosamine, 750 mg MSM, 1200 mg Fish Oil, 2000 mg Vitamin C, Super B-Complex, 400 I.U Vitamin E. Senior Member s2thoudriver Posted July 2, 2013 Author Senior Member Share Posted July 2, 2013 Hi Guys Atticus, great to hear that you had laser lipo too. I was under general aneasthetic due to me having the Gynomatia procedure and 4 other regions of lipo done in 1 session (basically my whole torso!), it was felt best to do it that way. So, firstly, apologies for the delay in getting back to you, i have been very busy with work, had laptop probelms (damn virus) and been busy in the gym/socialising, so haven't really been on here much. So, the update... Well,im about 6 weeks post op now and the swelling has mostly gone now, there are still a couple of isolated bits of swelling but these wil go over the next month. Recovery time, as expected, is slightly longer with my case due to the amount of work i had done. the scarring is now pretty much undetectable, both for the incistion holes and where i had my n1pples reconstructed and stitched. They gave me some scar cream to put on each day which really worked. I am still a little tender in places, but this is to be expected as it takes 6 months for the full healing to be completed. The skin is already tightening (an advantage of the Paloma SlimLipo over traditional/cheaper methods) which is great and it will continue to tighten over the coming months. I'm glad the surgeon decided a tummy tuck wasn't required, he said i have good elasticity too so should be fine. I've also been going to the gym for the last 2 weeks now the compression suit is no longer required (had to wear it 24-7 for a month!). The first week i was tender and weak, but this week i am already getting my strength back. Provided i continue the diet recommendations given to me by the surgeons and team and excercise well, i should have a really fantastic physique by August :-) So, i have a few pics before and after for you that i really don't mind putting up. You will see that i have a general layer of fat all over me, saggy manb00bs and puffy n1pples, with a moderately large gut, flanks and flabby ABS. My lower back had fat on too, which has also been removed. The before pic was taken the day before surgery, the after shots were my attempt at pics last night at home. Enjoy and any questions, feel free to ask..... 2800 FUE, Istanbul

Senior Member s2thoudriver Posted July 11, 2013 Author Senior Member Share Posted July 11, 2013 Quick 2 month update for those interested in having this procedure.. All is going well. I still have some very slight swelling around my belly button and under the n1pples, but i have been in touch with the team who did the work and been assured that this is normal. It takes up to 6 months to see the full results of any cosmetic procedure. The surgeon also advised that i do more cardio work in the gym and was surprised when i admitted i'd done very little (in fact ever, i hate it!). That said, if, at 2 month, this is the end result, i'm still blown away. For a month of no gym, wearing a compression vest and tightening sensation, it's easily worth it. The sun has been out in the UK and for the first time in years i have been confident enough to have my shirt off! I have even been sunbathing at the outdoor pool at the gym, which is full of fitness folks and where everybody is so body conscious! The skin is tightening up nicely now and i am getting some of the muscle back that i lost from not training for about 6 weeks. All in all, very happy. Just need to keep up the healthy diet and fitness and i'll have the body i always dreamed of, to go with the full head of hair (i'm now 13 months post FUE with them). Senior Member agenteye Posted July 23, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted July 23, 2013 Hey Rob- Sorry, I know I sent you a PM regarding information, but then I realized that there were others here who were interested in the procedure besides me. I was wondering though if there was a different link to the Health Travel International website....because when I go to their site, it is all information only on hair restoration. I can't find where they do any other procedures (lipo), so didn't know if I read your post incorrectly or if I was wrong in understanding that you went to their clinic for your recent body work too?! Senior Member s2thoudriver Posted July 23, 2013 Author Senior Member Share Posted July 23, 2013 Hi Agenteye I have sent you a PM. I went on their webstite last night and seems to have been updated/improved their website and it seems to only include the HT stuff, ehich makes me think they will be launching a seperate site for the other procedures, i'm just speculating though. I have told them that i am happy for them to use pics of my surgery though if they want, as i have let them use pics of my HT. It's my way of thanking them for all they've done for me and my body/look :-) Best thing to do is send them an email for any information and i'm sure they'll assist. Senior Member s2thoudriver Posted August 13, 2013 Author Senior Member Share Posted August 13, 2013 Hi David, thanks for the kind words and feel free to ask me for any advice or tips on this. The key to it is the use of the latest Paloma Laser Lipo equipment, which gives very smooth results and also tightens the skin due to using 2 laser frequencies instead of 1 It's more pricey than traditional lipo and also other types of laser lipo, but if you are gonna do it right, it's worth paying a little extra :-) Thanks Rob 2800 FUE, Istanbul
