New hair got very rough and curly after 5-6 months of ht

Hi,

Initially my new hair were straight and smooth but from last 2-3 weeks they have got very rough and curly. Is it also part of any phase involved in new hair growing and maturing process?

What should i use to make them look better?

 

I am 6 months post op.

the first batch of hairs that grow will be this way, over the next 6 months they will straighten out

Yep, my hair is naturally curly but some of mine looked like wonky hairs with random bends. Since those have shedded out all is normal from there on out.

I'm at 9 months and my hair is decidedly different to my natural hair, still curly and coarse. I'm told it will 'eventually' grow out, but it seems to have different time frames for different people, as is usual in these processes.

It took my latest HT about 14 months to finally start softening and become less coarse and wiry.
