ashu99924
Hi Guys, I am a 25 male from Mumbai,India. I am facing severe hair loss since at the age of 16. First it started with dandruff and it causes hair fall at huge amount. I even tried shaving my head 3 times, but it did not worked. I consulted many Skin specialist doctors but it was of no use. Around 2 months back while surfing on internet, I came across this forum and I am glad that I found this. I am going through many of the threads which are enlighting me about the facts of HT. Finally, I have make up my mind to go for HT.I am keeting my expectation realistic. I am ok with high hairline but the density of hair should look good. I have not consulted any doctor yet for HT and also I am not on any medication right now. I am just 25 (completing 26 in coming august) and this hair fall has broken my confidence completely. I do not meet much of my friends, I do not enjoy life and home to office and office to home has become my routine, even i am not being logging in facebook for last 1.5 year. After searching in forum I came to know Dr. Radha is one of the good Doctors in India and I am planning to consult with her. I am attaching my pics. Please check and kindly advise. Thanks in Advance, Ashu
Senior Member tacolinowest Posted May 31, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted May 31, 2013 never thought id meet another 25 yr old with worse loss than me, however i think you are a pretty good candidate for ht, you have dark skin and thick hair caliber, just be prepared to have 2-4 surgeries to get where you wanna be, as you will be a norwood 6 in a few years, like me

Senior Member Nick153452 Posted May 31, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted May 31, 2013 I was going to suggest Dr Dadha. She's local(ish), great, and affordable. I agree with Taco that you'll probably need multiple surgeries. However, I've seen many great results from people with your hair and skin color who have great results after 1 or 2 sessions. If hair is effecting your life that much, do it! Don't look back! Just be aware of the fact that you'll never reach 100% satisfaction! Have reasonable expectations. Plus, concealers are your friend for anything that a hair transplant cannot fix. Senior Member KO Posted May 31, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted May 31, 2013 Radha and perhaps Bhatti is good, but the first step is taking medication. Why haven't you done that? If you have not done it, you should start. It will help you hold on to what you have. You seem like a good candidate though. 3382 FUE Lupanzula http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185463-3382-grafts-lupanzula.html

Thanks in Advance, Ashu I think Finpecia and Rogaine should be your first port of call. Take the meds for 6-9 months to see if they can grow back some of that crown loss. Dr Radha can write you a prescription. I think if they maintain your hair then you could aim for 3000-4000 grafts with a conservative hairline placement. 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day

Senior Member Nick153452 Posted June 1, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted June 1, 2013 I know there have been a few people claiming to have difficulties reaching Dr Radha's email (not getting a reply). I'm not sure as to the reason behind it, whether her being too busy or her email malfunctionning, but her email from this website is Radha International Institute of Hair Transplant Her contact information is also on the website at: Contact Radha International Institute of Hair Transplant, Siripuram Fort, Siripuram, Visakhapatnam - RIIHT My Hair Loss Website Surgical Treatments: Hair transplant 5-22-2013 with Dr. Paul Shapiro at Shapiro Medical Group Total grafts transplanted: 3222 *536 singles *1651 doubles * 961 triples, *74 quadruples. ashu99924
Hi Guys, I visited Dr. Radha's Clinic 2 weeks back for consultation. She checked my donor area. she said it is average donor area and said would be able to get approx. 2500 grafts in first session. and I can go for second session in future. Also we discussed about hairline and agreed on having high hairline. I asked about medification, but she said not need of any medication as of now. I almost finalised Dr. Radha for HT but recently I also checked the Patients results posted by Dr. Bhatti. Now my question is FUE better than FUT, since there wont be any scar. also please suggest which one I should go for. I really appreciate your help. Thanks. Senior Member Sethticles Posted October 5, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted October 5, 2013 my vote is FUE, my reason is simple, for years I shaved my head at #1, really is the most mature way to deal with going bald, so whether or not you get a better thicker result with FUT, a scar is permanent and thus never shaving your head possible again. Therefore if my FUE transplant doesn't give a good result, Im out of pocket by $5000 only and I will go back to shaving my head. previously people would argue that FUT is far cheaper, well Dr Bhatti FUE clinic is actually cheaper than a lot of western FUT clinics and no scar!! BONUS Personally think FUT is barbaric and is ancient technique, FUE is the most up to date method, who knows in 10 years FUE will be the ancient technique and there will be some new and improved method. Senior Member Nick153452 Posted October 5, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted October 5, 2013 Your donor looks to be average, or a little below average. Your skin-hair contrast is ideal, but you are showing advanced level hairloss. Even with a conservative hairline, you may never achieve the density you dream about. realize that before you start, you may have to use concealers to achieve that dense look.
