Senior Member JayWalker Posted January 8, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 8, 2014 (edited) Just back from my second treatment by Dr Dorin and his team.Day went great, enjoyable as always with such a great practice and the team he employs. So this was to hopefully finish off my hairline, which has now had a total of 3227 FUT grafts. Take a look at the scar from my first procedure. Strip removed and donor closure completed. Incisions made, ready for grafts to be sited. Back at hotel, hair combed back to show todays results. Again, thanks to everyone at True and Dorin, I cannot recommend Dr Dorin enough, a pleasure to deal with as always. I will add some more pictures that were taken on a SLR camera by the clinic, once Ive been for my cleanup tomorrow. Senior Member JayWalker Posted January 9, 2014 Author Senior Member Share Posted January 9, 2014 Any pre op pics? Be4 any transplant If you look on my profile I have pictures from pre and post op on my first round. This second procedure was to address the density that I wanted. The first 1647 FUT i had made a really nice cosmetic change, but I always new that I would need a second for the result that I desired. Thats one of the great things about Dr Dorin, he doesnt sugar coat anything and is 100% realistic in his approach to things. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/journal.asp?CopyID=10024&WebID=2832 October 2011 - 1647 FUT - Dr Dorin January 2014 - 1580 FUT - Dr Dorin

It just looks like a small line of hair missing. Yes, here's hoping, about as good as it gets in my eyes, that first one. This one wasnt a huge strip either and Im told I have good skin quality, so hopefully if Im careful all should be well. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/journal.asp?CopyID=10024&WebID=2832 October 2011 - 1647 FUT - Dr Dorin January 2014 - 1580 FUT - Dr Dorin

You had roughly 1,500 grafts on each procedure? Any idea why the second cut is shorter than the first one?

Senior Member gobble Posted January 9, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 9, 2014 You mentioned that the scar wasn't that long. I was wondering why it would be shorter than the first one if both procedures were about the same size.
Senior Member JayWalker Posted January 9, 2014 Author Senior Member Share Posted January 9, 2014 Scar is slightly longer this time but not quite as wide (as in height) http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/journal.asp?CopyID=10024&WebID=2832 October 2011 - 1647 FUT - Dr Dorin January 2014 - 1580 FUT - Dr Dorin

Senior Member rev333 Posted January 10, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 10, 2014 great scar HT1 do you know the size of recipient area (approx cm2) for both HT you got great coverage with the amount of grafts transplanted could be due to your hair quality, which looks thick how long was your surgery? looks like a winner congrats

My hair is actually quite fine in calibre but has good density. Surgery took 7 hours this time, was a breeze, great setup at True & Dorin. Thanks. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/journal.asp?CopyID=10024&WebID=2832 October 2011 - 1647 FUT - Dr Dorin January 2014 - 1580 FUT - Dr Dorin

Senior Member JayWalker Posted January 11, 2014 Author Senior Member Share Posted January 11, 2014 (edited) A bit more detail. The first collage shows my head as it was pre transplant in 2011 and just before the second in 2014. This second transplant although lower in grafts, yielded more hairs as a significant amount were doubles. 462 singles 1085 doubles 33 threes This second one shows more detail on the work carried out on the second HT. Hopefully should be a real change for me one it all fills in. This second procedure looks nice and densely packed. I have found the second op much easier in terms of discomfort, maybe due to the scalp having endured the trauma before. Cant recommend Dr Dorin enough, was a total walk in the park.
