Dear All,

I have been through a hair transplant (FUT) a month ago ,and my doctor prescribed me to use Hairfin (Finasteride) and Minoxidil 5 % for 12 Months, I was wandering what if i stop Minoxidil 5% after 1 year, Will the transplanted hairs that are already dependent on Minoxidil will shred again? Please share your experiences.

Devil,

The transplanted hairs are permanent and won't be affected by stopping minoxidil, but any other regrowth of your native hair will be lost if you stop the medication. If you were able to halt any progressive hair loss or reverse thinning in any particular area of the scalp with the minoxidil, this will be lost when you stop.

Hope this helps.

"natural hairs available before the use of Minoxidil" will eventually miniaturize and fall out as well if they are programmed to

minoxidil MAY help keep these around longer than they would have without but once you stop the minoxidil they will just go back to their gene "programmed" life span
