Senior Member Mickey85 Posted April 29, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted April 29, 2014 Very nice FUE case from Konior. I see the recipient area is absolutely clean and intricate just like his strip cases. The only 2 threads you will ever need: Revamped Advantages/Disadvantages of FUE. Myths dispelled. Senior Member Mickey85 Posted May 7, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted May 7, 2014 Both manual and I believe the PCID. The PCID?! Wow, that device looks very extensive. Senior Member Spanker Posted May 7, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted May 7, 2014 Mickey, I know he does both and I don't know what was used in this case. I asked him how he likes the PCID and he stated that he was getting good grafts with it. To be honest, I don't know how often and when he uses one over the other. Senior Member bismarck Posted October 8, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted October 8, 2014 This, and mcmarkrazz's case are the only two definite FUE cases I've ever seen from Konior. Is anyone aware of others? His work is, in general, perfect. But really would like to see more of his FUE cases to get a better idea of what he's done in that arena, as opposed to strip. Senior Member KO Posted October 8, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted October 8, 2014 This is interesting, it seems the midscalp thickened up as well where no grafts were placed, is this due to meds? But looks great regardless. 3382 FUE Lupanzula http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185463-3382-grafts-lupanzula.html
Senior Member bismarck Posted October 8, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted October 8, 2014 Maybe it was because his hair was longer. Or perhaps because Konior's healing hands graced his scalp in benediction.
Senior Member Rootz Posted October 8, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted October 8, 2014 I'm a fan of Konior, and I think this is pretty good result, but to be honest I don't see what all the buzz is about with this one. For starters I think the surface area is a bit big for the number of grafts. However I'm also not sure about the yield of this one. There seems to be a noticeable number of grafts from the immediate post pic that did not grow out in the final results. Best examples of this are pics 14, 18, 24. Again I think this is pretty good, but the comments had me taking double takes at the pictures.
Senior Member hairweare Posted October 11, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted October 11, 2014 I would disagree. The temples are filled with single hair grafts which created a very natural looking feathering effect. I think the design was done very well and the result is quite good. Senior Member Spanker Posted October 11, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted October 11, 2014 Yeah, I'm not really following. The post op scabs of day 3 will make it look a little more dense than it is. I think what you are seeing grown out is what close to 100 percent yield looks like on 2500 grafts. Senior Member KO Posted October 11, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted October 11, 2014 I just don't see how the midscalp thickened up....it was noticeably thinner in the preop. 3382 FUE Lupanzula http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185463-3382-grafts-lupanzula.html
Senior Member PupDaddy Posted October 11, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted October 11, 2014 I just don't see how the midscalp thickened up....it was noticeably thinner in the preop. I think that photo 13 is a good depiction of the patient's situation. The non-transplanted area isn't thicker than it was; he had just grown out the diffusely thinning hair there to match the length of the surrounding hair and enhance the illusion.
