deare1023
I just want any opinions on my scar and options available to me in reducing its visibility. I had a mole removed about 5 years ago. While the scar was healing, I accidentally ripped a stitch (the visible part closer to my face) and it became somewhat infected. That part took a bit longer to heal but eventually did. My question is, would a scar revision with trichopytic closure be preferable to FUE into the scar? I don’t mind having a scar there, but I feel like the infection made it not as thin as it otherwise could be. Also, the hair grows weirdly around the scar, was this due to the experience of the surgeon or a common result? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, as well as any recommendations. Senior Member Spanker Posted May 1, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted May 1, 2014 You may be able to improve it with a scar reduction but you'd still have a scar. It's so small, definitely go fue if it bothers you. Just looks like a cool scar to me though. Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted May 1, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted May 1, 2014 I agree with FUE in this case. I wouldn't recommend surgical scar revision.
