Senior Member hairshopeing Posted October 5, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted October 5, 2014 Hi Iv taken amitriptyline for nearly 20 years and dr Feriduni said it may cause hair loss although iv don't think it has with me as my loss was very slow over along period! In fact I was loosing a lot more hair before I started it! I also take pentosan poly sulphate which again causes alopecia as a side effect but again I don't think it has!!
