EvansTelly
I had smp done to camouflage my strip scar. I tried FUE before and I have fair amount of hair on the scar. I don't want to kill my hair, but my smp keeps smearing and turned blue. If I use these 2 lasers, will I risk removing my hair permanently? We have many patients who are laser removing smp and are between transplants. I have seen it cause shock loss - but, the hair all back in like normal! I am the SMP and Micro-Pigmentation Specialist for Shapiro Medical Group. Always feel free to message me privately with any additional questions you might have. I am trained in both the permanent and temporary pigmentation methods and am happy to be here to offer support as a neutral resource.

I fear that my hair absorbs too much energy. Is there something I need to be concerned about? Did they used q-switched or picosure?

I have a patient who posted a thread on here I don't know the exact title but it's "permanent pigmentation major repair - trico/fue combo" or something like that. His name is mmac. He had 11 laser treatments during his FUE process attempting to remove some permanent pigmentation. Msg him about his experience and I'm sure he will be glad to chat with you.
