Regular Member Ritchie9 Posted February 9, 2017 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 9, 2017 Brown hair? I've never had brown hair in my life. Maybe it's the light bouncing off my bald bonce. I assure you my hair has always been this colour.
Regular Member ediee02 Posted February 17, 2017 Regular Member Share Posted February 17, 2017 I have my appointment with Asmed at the end of March. I was quoted between 4000-4500. I am very nervous about the first few months after the procedure. Balding guys spend years trying to cover up the thinning areas and then boom it's shaved for the world to see for the procedure. How did you handle telling people or did you avoid social gatherings the first few months? Did you wear hats allot? 4000 Grafts with Asmed http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/186536-4500-grafts-dr-koray-asmed.html

How did you handle telling people or did you avoid social gatherings the first few months? Did you wear hats allot? I was someone who spent years and tons of time, products and energy trying to cover up my baldness and believe me - its not worth it. You have to ask yourself, do you want to continue that process when in fact you're not fooling anyone with a comb over or creative hairstyle. I, for one, was tired of using hair sprays, gels, and being afraid of wind or the weather. It comes a time when you have to be honest with yourself and take the plunge in order to achieve a better you. Sounds cliche, but there really is no gain without some pain. Its a few uncomfortable months of your life, you'll adjust by wearing hats when you can, etc. but in the end, you'll wonder why you didn't address your hair loss issue sooner, believe me! Senior Member hsrp10 Posted February 17, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted February 17, 2017 oh thats nice !i have a little question. i saw your hair was brown originally, how is it black now ? Probably a result of Finasteride use and it's effect on both thickening and darkening the hair, this happened to me also. Regular Member ediee02 Posted February 17, 2017 Regular Member Share Posted February 17, 2017 Thanks. Yes at time I feel it's been a silly game I've been playing with myself. Allot of men experience hair loss. It's just that initial plunge that is worrisome. 4000 Grafts with Asmed http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/186536-4500-grafts-dr-koray-asmed.html

Regular Member Ritchie9 Posted March 12, 2017 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 12, 2017 Thought I'd put a couple of pics up taken at the asmed clinic to show what my hair colour was like before the procedure as a few people thought my hair was darker than at the start, I don't think my hair has got any darker than it was at the beginning. Regular Member Ritchie9 Posted June 18, 2017 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 18, 2017 12 Month and pretty much a final update (although I may do a 18 month one if there is any more growth), I cant believe how quick that year went by. So pleased with the final outcome, I only really started this thread just to help other people make a decision as to which surgeon to choose when taking the plunge into doing a hair transplant. Obviously I thoroughly recommend Doctor Koray and his team at the Asmed clinic, and I hope this has helped a few people come to a decision. I've had nothing but positive remarks for my mates and more importantly from family members especially from my dad who thought I was crazy for doing it in the first place but now can see how much better it looks. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask. The final pics I've put up are an original from Asmed taken just before the shave and a mixture of wet and dry hair and as it looks now. Senior Member JustJax Posted June 18, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted June 18, 2017 Looks awesome, congrats on your result, it's amazing how time flies. Will be interesting to hear if you do notice any difference between 12 and 18 months. I do have one question, what was your density like around month 7-8 vs now? One thing I am hoping for is an increase in density. Looking back at the threat you mentioned it was getting thicker and thicker at month 9? Did that continue ? Regular Member Ritchie9 Posted June 18, 2017 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 18, 2017 yeah it did get thicker, Cos I'm quite dark haired I was actually pretty happy with it at the 7 month stage, but without a doubt it got thicker the last few months. it's always hard to judge yourself as you see it everyday but when I met mates and family members (every 3-4 weeks) they always commented how much thicker it looked from the last time they saw me. from your thread though your pics look amazing for 8 months, it should get even more thicker but on an outside chance it didn't I think it still looks brill.
