follicle girl
We just did our first case using PRP, Platelet Rich Plasma. It went very well. Of coarse being our fist case, we don't have any results to compare to. Anyone using PRP on a regular basis that can let us what results you're getting when using it? Senior Member thanatopsis_awry Posted August 22, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted August 22, 2009 There are a couple good threads in the "open section" about people using PRP. How much are you charging per session? Also, are you performing it on anyone, irregardless of how advanced their MPB is? ----------- *A Follicles Dying Wish To Clinics* 1 top-down, 1 portrait, 1 side-shot, 1 hairline....4 photos. No flash. Follicles have asked for centuries, in ten languages, as many times so as to confuse a mathematician. Enough is enough! Give me documentation or give me death! Bill - Seemiller
follicle girl, I assume by your post you offering the PRP procedure to potentially treat hair loss? PRP has also been used to aid wound healing in hair transplant surgery, that's why I ask. I find it interesting that a number of doctors are offering this procedure now, especially since there's nothing more than preliminary data suggesting the possibility of some benefit. How much and for how long however, seems to be unknown and of course, it won't work for everyone. I trust doctors who begin offering such an experimental procedure for hair loss will be upfront with patients that not enough information or data exists to suggest it's a viable baldness treatment. See Is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Really Effective in Treating Hair Loss? Best wishes, Bill
