Does testosterone therapy affects hair that did not mean to experience MPB?

I took a energy supplement which dramatically increased my scalp and face oil. In a few days of taking the supplement, I experienced the worst shedding and recession of hair line. I think it increased my testosterone and hence balding. Will it affect the hair that were not meant to go bald had I not taken this supplement?
