Regular Member sheraz104 Posted January 12, 2018 Regular Member Share Posted January 12, 2018 I have actually been showering by detaching the showerhead and letting the water direct on scalp as it is. However this creates a densed high pressure single stream of water and it feels good on my scalp as it effectively washes away junk. My concern is that could it be damaging my scalp, hair or minituarizing hair? Or causing hair loss? Thank You
Senior Member hsrp10 Posted January 12, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted January 12, 2018 No it can not, actually a decent amount of shower pressure is good for helping to clean the scalp from dirt and sebum etc. Any hairs you are losing from showering are actually lost from other causes such as normal shedding, and if the amount is high then from MPB or from some internal disease or condition. You can't go bald from showering even with high water pressure. go dense or go home Unbiased advice and opinions based on 25 plus years of researching and actual experience with hair loss, hair restoration via both FUT & FUE, SMP, scalp issues including scalp eczema & seborrheic dermatitis and many others HSRP10's favorite FUT surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr Hasson, Dr. Rahal HSRP10's favorite FUE surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Erdogan, Dr. Couto (*indicates actual experience with doctor)
Regular Member hitherehair Posted January 12, 2018 Regular Member Share Posted January 12, 2018 If your hair falls off from the pressure of a shower head or the rub of a dry towel it's coming out on its own, and quick.
Senior Member gillenator Posted January 12, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted January 12, 2018 Very unlikely that the pressure from the shower head is causing the hair loss.
