mmalm
So, I am at the airport right now, waiting for my flight to Turkey. I've been a long time lurker on the site, but I have never posted anything. I have been contemplating a hair transplant for years and have come close on a number of occasions. I have had 2 deposits down with Dr. Tejinder Bhatti in India, but I didn't end up going to either of those. I've been keeping my eye on the cheaper surgeons (worldwide) that have been recommended on this site, and I finally made the decision to go with Dr. Yaman based on price and results. I am a little bit nervous traveling to Turkey, but not that nervous. After consulting with the Doctor via email, we've decided to go with 2 sessions with at least 8 months in between. So, this week, I will get my hairline and mid scalp done and then next time I will get the crown done. I've also recently started a full compliment of other hair loss therapies including: Saw-Palmetto/Biotin, Rogaine, Low Level Laser Therapy, and Microneedling. I've only been using these other methods for a few weeks, but I do see a decent amount of new growth with little blonde hairs. So, we'll see if that ever amounts to anything. I will be getting 4000 grafts with Dr. Yaman for this procedure (assuming all goes well) and as many as are possible for the next one. The before pictures that I am posting will be a little hard to evaluate because I have had scalp micropigmentation done, and so the baldness level is masked when my hair is short. The picture I am posting without micropigmentation is about 4 years old, and during that time I hadn't taken any baldness fighting steps (until this past month), so baldness level is definitely worse now than it was. I have been told a driver will meet me by a coffee shop in the airport. I also have the hotel confirmation information, and a contact at Dr. Yaman's office. I will arrive Wednesday evening in Turkey and I believe the procedure will take place Thursday (May 2nd). I will try and give a detailed account of my journey as I go. But, I've been missing my hair for quite some time now, so when the opportunity presented itself, I took it.

Mate, you look absolutely fantastic the way you are, with the SMP and that beard! IMO you shouldn't really bother with an HT. But go ahead and do it if it makes you feel good! Bill - Seemiller
mmalm, Congratulations on your upcoming hair transplant with an outstanding surgeon. I trust you will be in the best of hands and be very happy with your results. If you have an already, I really encourage you to create a hair loss patient website which is the best way to document your progress with photos, videos and more. You can even rate and review your hair transplant surgeon. In fact, we recently updated and modernized our patient websites to be completely 100% mobile friendly. So you can use your mobile device, tablet or computer to share your experience, upload your photos, share videos and rate your surgeon. Just go to www.hairlossweblogs.com and click “create website“ or “register“. When you’re done, you can add a link to your patient website in your discussion forum signature and even this topic. For instructions on adding a link to your patient website in your forum signature, click here. Please let me know if you do create one and update us by posting a link here if you do so we can comment on it. Best wishes, Bill
