Regular Member Namsak Posted February 24, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted February 24, 2020 Hey fellows I am about to create a post and share my recent experience, as soon as I receive the pictures from the clinic I went to. But meanwhile I would like to please have your reactions about what just happened to me. First night post-op, I wake up with a trace of blood going from the frontal hairline to the back. I don't know what I did while sleeping, but I'm sure I stayed on my back. I then spray some saline solution, gently tap the area with a cotton pad, and...look who I found. RIP 😭
Regular Member watterot Posted February 24, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted February 24, 2020 Blood is never a good sign. Hard to tell exactly, but you have unfortunately lost some grafts. Hopefully it's blood from a few grafts that has spread rather than the whole area. Please talk to your clinic asap.

Regular Member Namsak Posted February 24, 2020 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 24, 2020 Because of the way the blood spilled I think I could narrow the damaged area (first pic), and zoomed in after cleaned (second pic), any thoughts? Regular Member Namsak Posted February 24, 2020 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 24, 2020 how plausible is it that I lost only one?
Regular Member watterot Posted February 24, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted February 24, 2020 Hard to speculate by looking at the pic. It is a sizeable amount of blood.
Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted February 25, 2020 Administrators Share Posted February 25, 2020 It's very plausible that you lost only one, the same thing happened to me in my last hair transplant, to be honest I couldn't even tell a difference once it all grew. 1 I’m a paid admin for Hair Transplant Network. Regular Member Namsak Posted February 25, 2020 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 25, 2020 Thanks Melvin. I pushed the investigation a bit further, and I hope it is indeed the case. The arrows pointing to the probable source of the bleeding, and I circled a possible victim. Guys, if the person from the clinic who's supposed to send me the photos does not do it in a day or two, I'll do with what I have. In any case I'll make sure to post my experience this week. Cheers
Regular Member watterot Posted February 25, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted February 25, 2020 Can you not visit the clinic again? Or if it's another city, maybe visit a different clinic?
Regular Member Namsak Posted February 25, 2020 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 25, 2020 I cannot because I flew over there. It might be complicated to see another specialist I think. With Melvin's response and my last zoomed in pictures I am a bit relieved though, hopefully rightfully so.
Moderators Al - Moderator Posted February 25, 2020 Moderators Share Posted February 25, 2020 (edited) One graft coming out is not going to make a difference. You may have scratched the area and pulled a graft out while you were sleeping without even realizing it. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I lost a graft once when I bumped my head in the bathroom. It happens. Regular Member maxgraft Posted February 26, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted February 26, 2020 Looks like a good transplant. You will undoubtedly lose a few grafts. Try not to panic and stop looking in the mirrors and touching the hairs and driving yourself crazy. You won’t miss one or two grafts. Just don’t inflict damage to your transplant by picking at it

Regular Member Namsak Posted February 28, 2020 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 28, 2020 (edited) Alright guys, here I am. There is so much to say that I'll try to keep it short and answer any question you guys may have. I'm 31, started noticing thinning at 22, took minoxidil, then stopped, and after that it went way worse way faster (between 27 and 30). Until then I refused to take finasteride because of ignorance, until two doctors refused to do the surgery because of that. Then I did my research, and came to the conclusion that one must at least try the medication. I did, thankfully had no sides, and even a slight improvement as you can see below. This is me before the surgery: Last week I underwent surgery at HLC Ankara. 4005 grafts were implanted during three days. Around 3000 in the frontal aera (~50/cm^2) and 1000 (500 hair 500 beard) on the midscalp (~30/cm^2). Every stage was performed by a doctor and the extraction was manual. I plan to do the crown on a second surgery. Day 1: Last day of surgery: day 4 postop (today): PS: sorry for the broken English PS2: wasn't sure if I had to start a new topic or not. Regular Member Silent1234 Posted March 1, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted March 1, 2020 All is not lost with the graft or 2 dislodging. Happened to me. Often the stream of blood which follows makes it all appear much worse.

I don't really know. I wish I asked when I was there because the doctors were quite cooperative. I tried to asked them on WhatsApp after I got home but did not get the response yet. How about you man? Dr Elif for me, 6 sessions over 3 days and she did it all. I noticed from other HLC reports that the other doctors tend to rotate for extractions and placement, as it was for you I guess?
