SHairloss
21y/o, 3.5 weeks post op, 1470 grafts -ARTAS robotic FUE. Started using topical finnesteride/ minox Concerned one side has a lot less transplanted hairs/not even with the other side on right temple area. Concerned with density and packing of grafts as well. Also have several questions: How soon after Op can I do PRP injections to full scalp? (Transplanted, donor, ect.) Does this appear to be shock loss or over harvesting? Especially the large area on the right side of the donor area. How soon after can working out resume? - Full sprinting, weights, and sweating? Thanks!!! Feel free to share any other thoughts on my FUE transplant looks.
Senior Member Dangrowthfactor Posted April 9, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted April 9, 2020 I started working out on day 5 mostly body weight, not heavy lifts. After 2 weeks went back to hard lifts

Senior Member CosmoKramer Posted April 10, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted April 10, 2020 Looks like shock loss on your donor but you are less than a month post op so that seems normal. You should post photos of your recipient directly post op as the ones you have just show shed areas.
SHairloss
Donor immediately post. I know right side was harvested more then left. Just concerned about it being Over harvested .
Senior Member JohnCasper Posted April 10, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted April 10, 2020 Like Melvin's response, I'm curious why you chose the Artas procedure. Curious to hear the clinics position on using that process. I am an online representative for Carolina Hair Surgery & Dr. Mike Vories (Recommended on the Hair Transplant Network). Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted April 10, 2020 Administrators Share Posted April 10, 2020 I don’t believe it’s over harvested, should improve over time. Regular Member bruce90 Posted April 10, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted April 10, 2020 (edited) I don't think it was wise for the surgeon to extract from only one side like that. Should have extracted equal amounts from both sides as that would have definitely minimize the appearance of extractions from the donor area. LonelyGraft
did the doctor tell you what punch size was used on the artas for your procedure?
SHairloss
All Artas procedures are a 1mm punch, except for a few special locations using .09 I believe.
LonelyGraft
I heard the new artas, i believe its the iX mode uses smaller punches? I believe thats one of the improvements they focused on
Senior Member JohnCasper Posted April 24, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted April 24, 2020 Good to hear that Artas has improved their punch size. 0.9 everywhere would look good.
