Senior Member aaron1234 Posted November 18, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted November 18, 2020 Where are you located? I imagine an ethical surgeon would do some bloodwork to determine the cause before doing surgery. Generally it's a bit trickier for women. Also, My hair is fine. First, welcome to the community Belinda. I definitely would want to rule out other issues that may be contributing to your thinning hair (such as your thyroid hormone level, any vitamin deficiency, hormonal imbalances). As @Melvin-Moderator suggested, you should certainly consult with the recommended surgeons here. My advice does not constitute a patient-physician relationship nor as medical advice and all medical questions/concerns should be addressed to your medical provider. Senior Member Louisjams Posted November 20, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted November 20, 2020 When you look at surgeon websites, and you should look at a lot of them, look for people with significant experience in women who have similar hair loss to you. That is your best bet.
