Regular Member Rodgers12 Posted October 6, 2021 Regular Member Share Posted October 6, 2021 Hello there, I had a transplant at Dr. Demirsoy Clinic in August 2019. I was 24 years old, took finasteride and minoxidl to prevent shock loss. My hairloss was quite severe and diffuse, which made me a hard case. The Doc took more than 4200 Grafts from my back and after some hours, we were done. The doctor and staff were very great and everything went well. Now I am 26. I stopped using Meds 12 months post op, after side effects and since it was clear that the front won't be dense anyways. Overall I have more hair than before. However, my front is lacking. I wish it would be fuller, which I communicated with the clinic. The doctor said, since I stopped with the meds and the doctor told me right away that I am not a perfect candidate, my not so supers results were to be expected. He said it does not make sense to fill in the front now. If I wanted to do it anyways, he offered me 20% discount. Now I am conflicted on what to do next. With Long hair and some Topik, my hair looks solid. I can "survive" the next few years. But will it make it a big difference if I go for the second one at 27 vs 32? Im thinking of doing one more transplant with Beard hair and the rest of my head. Im fine with a bald crown. What would you do? Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted October 6, 2021 Administrators Share Posted October 6, 2021 To be honest, you look just about the same as you did before surgery. You’ve probably lost most of your native hair. I’m not sure more surgery would be smart. Have you considered topical dutasteride or finasteride? 1 I’m a paid admin for Hair Transplant Network. Senior Member Future Hair Doc Posted October 6, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted October 6, 2021 As Melvin stated, look into topical finasteride or topical dutasteride. My advice does not constitute a patient-physician relationship nor as medical advice and all medical questions/concerns should be addressed to your medical provider. Regular Member Rodgers12 Posted October 6, 2021 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 6, 2021 Thats sucks to read. I am afraid of finasteride, even when topical. However, I guess it is worth a shot. Is there any source for more infos on topical finasteride and where to purchase it in Germany?

Senior Member blackislback Posted October 6, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted October 6, 2021 Don't understand why doctor accepted to do HT, if thought you are not good candidate, it's not ethical to accept such things, but today more i read and learn, more i realize no much ethycs in this area, it's mostly all about money, same as in football all became comercial and no more about game, but more about money became, here same seems... I mean , dont know reason why he accepted it, maybe you insisted, or whatever, but however someone as profesionalist, need reject such case, if see not good donor area, or not good candidate at all. And after all that doctor accept on your insist, to do front again, with risk not be ok, with 20% discount as his fairness . Looks like you did 1st HT so young, as mainly doctors suggest at 30-32y, and not accept young patients, that not use most of donor area so early. Attached in this Post pictures of me today Your donor area still looks decent at the lenght, even after 4200 extractions. You seem to have pretty good beard aswell, so there is hope. You should contact some top Drs like Bisanga, Cuoto, Bruno Ferreira, Bruno Pinto, Eugenix, De Freitas, Juan Lorenzo and get their opinion.
Senior Member track_rat Posted October 7, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted October 7, 2021 Your donor still looks good to me. And as digi mentioned, you have a good beard.
