Saam
10 days post op I was removing a single remaining scab. I removed it with a dry scalp and rather aggressively (stupid, I know). After removing the scab I felt a tingling sensation in the area and it’s continued for the last 24-36 hours. Sometimes there is a light pain in the area as well. No blood or hair came from scab. is there a chance that I damaged the graft or induced “shock loss” on the surrounding grafts? Thanks!

Please share your scalp picture with your doctor immediately. The doctors can evaluate the area where you removed the scab from and give you an evaluation. Senior Member Nw7HPE Posted April 19, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted April 19, 2022 10 days they are well anchored in . I would not worry about it . It is just a mild irritation that you caused which will subside quickly .
Senior Member JohnCasper Posted April 22, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted April 22, 2022 I agree with the others. Try to refrain from bothering the scabbing. It will heal nicely on its own. Ten days after surgery shouldn't affect anything under the skin. Just be patient and let the healing continue at its own rate.
