Regular Member Twintwin Posted November 22, 2022 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 22, 2022 Month 2 update: - I have shed pretty much all transplanted hair between month 1 and month 2 - I haven’t gotten a haircut since procedure and the scar is not noticeable anymore except when hair is wet (it’s been the case for the last 2 weeks maybe) - minor shock loss around the scar on the sides but nothing too bad - the hair where I suffer from shock loss is a little coarse which is strange - I haven’t had any pimple, itching or anything of the sort so far - I noticed a few new hair popping recently, feels like a stubble at this points. Hoping this is going to accelerate in the next few months - I am still wearing a hat most of the time. I have attached some more pre-op photos and some 2-months post-op photos. let me know your thoughts
Valued Contributor Gatsby Posted November 22, 2022 Valued Contributor Share Posted November 22, 2022 That scar is now well hidden. Personally I found month two to be the worst in the ugly duckling phase. However having said that, a lot of healing gets covered by this stage (with still more healing a head). You’re look Great at this point. Thanks for sharing. 👌 GATSBY 'UNPLUGGED!' 15,671 (3 surgeries) Grafts FUE+BHT Dr. Sethi Eugenix
Regular Member Twintwin Posted November 27, 2022 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 27, 2022 Quick question y’all: I’m currently at roughly 2 months + 1 week. When touching my scalp, I often feel mini bumps, which are made of dead skins and flakes mostly. But when I pick them up with my fingertips and/or fingernails, a hair is often attached to it (see attached photo) Is it possible that picking these dead skins will impact my final result? Regular Member HairGuy Posted December 13, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted December 13, 2022 I have nearly an identical story as yours... same exact age and pattern and I have a FUT scheduled with Dr. Hasson in late 2023 for the same graft quote. Looking at your pics a few weeks out, I would be very excited for what's to come in a couple of months. I think you'll have great results and I'm excited to follow your journey because mine should be exactly the same. If you could upload photos of the donor area and scar on each update that would be greatly appreciated! Good luck!
Regular Member Twintwin Posted December 21, 2022 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 21, 2022 Month 3 update! Overall, not a ton to report on. I started seeing some growth maybe 2-3 weeks ago. Not real “new hairline” shape noticeable though. At roughly 5-6 weeks post-op I could see some black dots on my scalp and thought it was new hair but these dots disappeared in the next 3-4 weeks so I think it was remaining grafts that had not shed. I only had 2-3 pimples in total. No itchy sensations at all. Im hoping for a lot more growth in the next 2-3 months. Scar is not noticeable. It’s even hard to capture it on photos when looking for it! please let me know your thoughts on the progress so far!

It may be controversial to say but I would gently rub the itchy area regularly (not fingernails) and I think it helped the hairs to pop through. I had a lot of superficial rough skin and I think gentle rubbing help slough it off so the hairs could spring free. Also, when you shampoo give the area a brisk scrub with your fingertips. Not 100 on this but I felt it stimulated the area and assisted in healing. But there should be no pain and nothing sharp like fingernails or a comb. Looking forward to following your case. Senior Member HairEnthusiast101 Posted December 26, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted December 26, 2022 Your scar looks good. Do you usually have great healing abilities or are you prone to scarring? Either way I have a feeling this will be a homerun. Also since they have the strip higher it leaves very good fue hair available. I’d say another 3-4K if ever needed

As for the remaining grafts available for FUE, the doc told me it’s around 4K. I plan on doing an FUE in a couple of years as a touch ups where needed. Senior Member mister_25 Posted December 26, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted December 26, 2022 (edited) Hi Twintwin I have a few questions as I’m relatively early days in my procedure with Dr Hasson did Dr Hasson tell you about the possibility of further hair loss? Such as going into a Norwood 6/7 When you started shedding, was it uneven? For example did one side shed more significantly than the other? For me my left side has been shedding more than my right side. Do you have any day 1 photos? And do you have your graft count for day 1? Would be curious to know how many hairs went into your front and your crown. Also I know what you mean from feeling cold and shaking, on my first day they noticed it (I wasn’t eating much, overate at the hotel) so they gave me their weighted blankets for the rest of the procedure. You weren’t alone in that. Edited December 26, 2022 by mister_25 12+ Months Finasteride + Minoxidil 3872 FUE w/ Dr Hasson | November 2022

Regular Member Twintwin Posted January 20, 2023 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 20, 2023 4 months update! - I noticed some substantial growth in the last month. I’m definitely above baseline. Now using fibers instead or wearing hats. And with fibers I appear to have a full head of hair - really haven’t had that many issues in terms of pimples or itchy scalp overall - scar is completely undetectable - overall I’m glad I went with FUT as my donor looks untouched and I never wear my hair super short anyway excited for the next few months. Let me know what you guys think!

Regular Member HairGuy Posted January 20, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted January 20, 2023 Looks awesome, especially since you're only at 4 months! How short on the sides do you think you could potentially go, given the scar line? Granted, it should only get better with time.

Regular Member Twintwin Posted February 20, 2023 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 20, 2023 Month 5 update - growth continued this past month. It’s hard to notice day to day as you get used to having more hair but when I look back at photos from month 2,3 and 4 I can clearly see the difference. I would say now I am getting almost to the same place where I was before op with fibres on - there are still areas where I would like more density (see photos below). Especially both corners of my hairline + that bridge between hairline and crown. That area got almost no graft if you look at post op pics so not sure what to expect. Might be a touch up for the future. - for the next month I am hoping for some more growth (I.e., new hair) as well as maturing the existing new hair that already sprouted. - as you can see with the different photos, scar is super difficult to see. Got a haircut this morning, pretty short on the side and even with wet hair it’s tough to see it. photos below are with flash. First few are wet hair and then dry hair. please let me know your thoughts. As of now I think I am on track for month 5 ans happy with the results.
Regular Member CharlesBarkley Posted February 20, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted February 20, 2023 Wow! Just wow! All is looking fantastic. Your evolution is great and your donor looks impeccable. Sometimes FUT, when donde with an amazing doctor such as Dr Hasson is the best option. And you will have so many grafts to still go with FUE in the future.
