Regular Member TheKMan Posted April 28, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted April 28, 2009 The last 2 months have been very very exciting, especially the last 20-25 days when my hair have grown long enough to be combed/dressed (been such a loooong time since I used a comb). Even the crown has progressed to the point where people would say I'm now in the "thinning/balding" stage rather than "bald." Recently met some friends who I hadn't seen in a few months and got comments that I looked "good." I chalked it up to weight loss (I have lost about 25 lbs since my procedure.) Got one comment that I had "grown out" my hair - naturally, I agreed I am including some pre-op photos in the album to highlight where I came from...helps to explain why I am so excited about the results so far. Looking for more density in the coming months - that's all that is missing now. Any and all comments are welcome. Senior Member Eman Posted April 28, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted April 28, 2009 Looking good buddy! You have a lot more coming in the pipeline. It is fun isn't it to actually comb some hair on the top of your own head. I double take in the mirror sometimes as I am sure you do too. My initial HT thread: done and done!! Check it out... Regular Member TheKMan Posted April 29, 2009 Author Regular Member Share Posted April 29, 2009 Thanks for the feedback guys. Thana, yep having hair back took away any excuses I had (I had figured being obese and bald is not much worse than being bald). This procedure has already had a major impact on my life. Regular Member Mane Attraction Posted April 29, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted April 29, 2009 TheKman, that's a pretty sweet transformation! Particularly impressive are both the crown and mid-scalp regions, which show no traces of your former baldness level. Really nice coverage has over your head and I bet you're looking forward to seeing what the next several months hold! I so wish I was in your shoes right now! Senior Member Ron J Posted April 29, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted April 29, 2009 Looking good & your only half way there. Any idea on the graft distribution; how many went into the crown? Congrats. Delicately helping those fragile souls who suffer from hair loss, w/motherly nourishment & care.
Regular Member TheKMan Posted April 29, 2009 Author Regular Member Share Posted April 29, 2009 MA, I just read your blog. You've picked a great doctor and 3500 grafts should produce a great result. Last fall, I used to be like you - looking at all other results and hoping I was in their shoes If you're going for surgery in May, your exciting times should start in/around September/October. Take the time and enjoy the summer Ron, the distribution was approx 1500 in the crown and the rest in the front/top.
