qwerty95
Hi Guys, On 11-29-2022 I had my 1st HT. For this I went to Istanbul. 4000 grafts have been placed. Below I place a number of photos with data. Before HT Below both photos after: 12-10-2022 = at 10-11 days after HT. I had almost no crusts. 20-12-2022: 20-21 days after HT after a while I experienced a lot of shock loss. The necessary hairs have fallen out. However, this has also caused irritation of the scalp. To overcome the irritation, I switched to another shampoo and serum enriched with urea and lactate, two moisture-retaining factors that healthy skin produces naturally, to give your dry, itchy scalp the nourishing care it needs. However, this did not produce the desired effect. I have no itching or burning sensation. My scalp remains irritated and looks restless, see below. Which makes me even more stressed by dead hair shafts at this stage. 02-10-2023: 73 days after HT 02-21-2023: 84 days after HT 02-26-2023: 89 days after HT The clinic indicates that it is part of the process and there is acne. A dermatologist, prescribed the antibiotics Minocycline. While Minocycline may have an effect on lowering Vitamin D, I still plan to continue taking my vitamin supplements and continue to soothe my scalp. Do you have experience with this? Should I take Minocycline? I notice that I have a slow growth compared to other clients. Should I be concerned about anything? Tomorrow I will be at month 3: 02-29-2023. Pictures today: thanks for thinking along!
Senior Member StillAlive Posted March 1, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted March 1, 2023 Actually you look very healthy and exactly where you should be for Month 3. The red spots indicate scalp activity, your hair preparing to grow. If I were you, I wouldn't take anything and just wait it out. It's super normal to see red spots and even some pimples on your recipient area as the new hair makes its way to the surface. Unless you are experiencing serious pain, consider it a normal part of the process.
Rahal Hair Transplant
@qwerty95, Congratulations on your recent heart transplant. My only caution to you is be wary of future hair loss. If you haven’t already, I strongly suggest using finasteride which may help you keep your existing natural hair. Otherwise, thinning may continue to progress and then you’ll need another hair transplant to keep up with no pattern baldness so to speak Best wishes, Rahal Hair Transplant Rahal Hair Transplant Institute - Answers to questions, posts or any comments from this account should not be taken or construed as medical advice. Have you prescribed Minocin tablets before? What would be your suggestion on that? All the best,
