Senior Member orangehair Posted August 25, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted August 25, 2009 This patient in his mid 20's presented to Dr. True with a 4 pattern with likely progression to a class 5/6. As does frequently occur in younger patients with rapidly developing male pattern baldness, he had deep temporal recessions on both sides. Restoring the recesssions was crucial to attaining a natural looking hairline and youthful appearance. Estimated donor supply @ 6000++ . Treatment goal was two-fold: to restore density and contour to his hairline and rebuild the temporal peaks. At 8.5 months, the treatment is developing nicely with some further cosmetic changes to take place by the end of the year. Of the 2208 follicular units, 1073 were singles and 1135 were doubles, a total of 3,343 hairs. Hair is of heavy texture/wavy, donor density is @ 75fu/cm2, and strip size 27cm x 1.1 cm. Senior Member M1A1 Posted August 25, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted August 25, 2009 Dr True, Very nice result at 8.5 months with a very conservative use of FU's. This guy must be stoked...The contouring looks great too... It just goes to show that doing the little things in a HT procedure makes a huge improvement in the patients end result... Senior Member thanatopsis_awry Posted August 25, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted August 25, 2009 Really nice turn around for this guy, and a nominal # of grafts! Do you have any hairline shots at quick access? Either way, looks real good, and goes to show the power a HT can have. It even seems like his vertex thickened a bit, though that might just be a reflection of the restoration you performed bringing better "balance" to his entire head. ----------- *A Follicles Dying Wish To Clinics* 1 top-down, 1 portrait, 1 side-shot, 1 hairline....4 photos. No flash. Follicles have asked for centuries, in ten languages, as many times so as to confuse a mathematician. Enough is enough! Give me documentation or give me death!
