@bigtyivier2k2 I replied to your DM with answers. Bottom line, you cannot put anything on your head for 14 days, per Pittella’s order. You will just need to stay out of the sun for those 2 weeks. Reference the flight home, get yourself a good neck travel pillow and accept now that you just won’t sleep super comfortably for 2 weeks. Those first couple of weeks will be a distant memory when you have your new head of hair.

Hey @Melvin- Admin, things are going well. Been traveling a lot for work so haven’t had much time to post. I decided to mix it up and show some real time photos from the last few weeks. I’ll do my normal monthly post in a couple of weeks.

From the photos, your hair is looking phenomenal. Sorry if you have mentioned this before, but did Dr Pittella say if you had good/bad donor density and if you hair was thin/thick?

How does the donor feel? Does it feel/look any thinner than before?

All the best!

@pullinyourleg Dr Pittella said I had average donor at best. My hair is just naturally thin. Donor feels great; doesnt feel or look like I had a HT unless you knew it (I think). It looks a little thinner but you can see the before and after photos for yourself to see if you can notice.

Wow @Digs49 you look awesome! Hair can change a person so much.
I see this and I still can not believe how your donor could look so good after 10.5 grafts extracted from there. The result is just a master piece by Dr Pittella!

Hey fellas, sorry I haven’t been as active. I’ve been crazy busy for work and currently traveling overseas. I promise I will post photos after this trip but in the meantime, I feel like I’m on Cloud Nine. I am always getting positive compliments and some old friends ask me “what have you done with your hair and how do I do it…?” I tell them, just trust in Dr Felipe Pittella!

Post soon fellas!

Hey HRN Community! Apologies for the late update but here are some photos from 13 months post op (I took most this morning after combing it down and the other photo is from me going out one night and styling it). I am still on oral minox and finasteride; I use normal shampoo & conditioner. It’s been an amazing journey. I've had people who didn’t know me before the surgery that say I have great hair for nearly 40 years old. For those that knew me before, they’re amazed by the transformation. My confidence hasn’t been this high in over 20 years and I owe thanks to those in this community that helped along the way (namely @Melvin- Admin ).

I owe the greatest thanks to @Dr. Felipe Pittella. He changed my life and is consistently doing that for so many others. He is the best of the best and I would recommend him to anyone seeking restoration.

Hairline looking great. Curious about the lack of crown density though. Would’ve expected a bit denser for 10.5k grafts. Did you talk to Dr. Pittella about this?

@Fox243 When I was in Brazil for my surgery, I told Dr Pittella that I was comfortable with a thinner crown area in order to have a nicer hairline and mid section. Given the balding level I was at before surgery, I assessed that even with 10.5k grafts, I would need to sacrifice somewhere (even if just a little).

Especially if he placed thicker beard grafts in the crown

Here's where expectations make all the difference. 10.5k grafts is a lot, but still not enough to cover the entire crown, which dipped down in a coronet pattern. Before getting surgery, you need to accept that not every single part of your scalp will be covered perfectly. Realistically, a Norwood 6/7 requires around 15K grafts to cover the entire scalp with adequate density, and this number is dependent on the shape and size of the scalp.

Your crown looks great to be honest. I had to go bad and check the pictures again to see what the fuss was about. Just looks like a very natural crown with a bit of thinning.

Incredible result all round!

Thanks @Gatsby. Like Melvin, you’ve been an incredible mentor to this community. You had a complete transformation and pay it forward to others.

For those that are on the fence, feel free to reach out anytime. I’m more than willing to talk you through the process, of all phases, that I experienced. I wish I had known about Pittella sooner and had done this sooner.
