Regular Member Polica Posted August 27, 2023 Author Regular Member Share Posted August 27, 2023 Hi guys! Today is exactly 4 months after the surgery and I am sharing the current state of my hair. I would say that something is definitely happening and the improvement of the presurgery condition is already visible, however under the harsh light the hair looks very sparse, especially the hairline. I am aware that is still early for a judgement but I cant see too much new hairs sprouting. The calculated recipient area is around 70-75 cm2 so the theoretical density of the transplanted hair should be around 35-40 grafts/cm2 which should look more dense. However, I am still not too concerned as some improvement definitely exists, I will start to worry if major improvement doesn't happen in next 2 mon ths. The pictures are under direct sunlight.

Regular Member Polica Posted July 28 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 28 Hi guys! I haven't been active for a long time, nevertheless I own you sharing the final outcome of my hair transplant procedure. As I stopped sharing my progress after 4th month, firstly I would like to upload the pictures of the hair condition after 5th month of the procedure. For the purpose of clarity the hair was wet and exposed to direct sunlight.
Regular Member Polica Posted July 28 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 28 Then, I would like to share the pictures after the 6th month of the procedure. The hair is washed and dry. Obviously, a great cosmetic improvement in comparison with pretransplant condition.
Regular Member Polica Posted July 28 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 28 Finally, the results after ONE YEAR. Obviously, not very significant change in comparison with 6th month result. Honestly, I expected a little bit more denser look, based on some other results from the same doctor, however still consider it relatively successful. When the hair is combed straight it looks fine, however combing to the side expose low density, as the sides of the hairline lack hairs. Probably one more procedure with around 1500 follicles for the same region would resolve the problem, however I am not sure with how many follicles I am left. Doctor said before the procedure that I had around 6000 follicles available in donor area, and I will probably need some for the mid-scalp and crown in the future. Regular Member sewoa Posted July 28 Regular Member Share Posted July 28 Hairtransplantation is very mutch aboit illusion but i can agree that you can demand a little moore density maybe.. i have seen better and worse results.. this is probaly average.. Regular Member BackFromTheBrink Posted July 28 Regular Member Share Posted July 28 Have you continued to take medication since your procedure? I agree with the others - it's lacking some density and a top up would make a significant improvement.

Definitively the density was higher while I was using minox, however I didn't take pictures from months 8,9 or later, before the one year period. I would say the same. I am not disappointed, just hoped for maybe 20% better result. The doctor was recommending 3500 grafts for this area, however I didnt want to go more than 2500 to see how would come out first. Still it is a significant improvement compared to the pre-procedure condition. I hope I contributed to the community in reviewing the results from this doctor, as there have not been enough finished reviews on his work on this forum recently, and that this review will help others in making their decision.
