My Natural Experiment (monthly updates) - Saw Palmetto 20% and Trichoxidil 2.5%

I know that you did very extensive research and know more things than most users here. I am wondering why you didn't decide to try Adenosine as Minoxidil alternative. It is natural occurring substance in body and a study shows the same efficiency.

My second question. By Trichoxidil with Saw Palmetto you mean TRICHOMETTO? If not, why did you decide that instead of TRICHOMETTO?

And third question. If Saw Palmetto is going to work it will work by 5ar inhibition. Wouldn't this cause the same sides as finasteride? I mean 5ar is 5ar, why would make Saw Palmetto difference? Maybe the answer is that it is weaker 5ar inhibitor. But wouldn't be the same to just reduce finasteride strength of topical (to something like 0.0005)? Sorry for so many questions, I am in similar situation and thinking to try natural.

Trichoxidil with Saw Palmetto and dermarolling once a week

PD: I’m allergic to minoxidil

Do you mind sharing what kind of allergic reaction you have to minoxidil?

You don't have too, but I am curious if that can be called an allergy or just a side effect

It's an allergy

It can be either to Minoxidil or PG:Ethanol or some people have both.

Best to do a patch test on your arm, it's cheap

Any updates @mustang? What's your verdict?

Thanks in advance.

It definitely worked. I stopped using it a few months ago and my hair has gotten thinner without a doubt. No side effects either. I would recommend it for a maintenance treatment if you are over 30 and don't want to take Finasteride.

I would start again but since I might be going on TRT soon it will not be enough so will hop on Liposomal Finasteride 0.01%-0.025% with 17 a-Estradiol

@mustang When you state "it definitely worked", are you referring to saw palmetto 20% and trichoxidil?  If so, is this a topical solution and where did you purchase from?  Or did you make yourself (and if so, can you elaborate how)?  I've been on oral Min and oral Dut for over 1 year and still losing ground.  I'm looking for alternative solutions.  Thanks in advance.

It's sold by Anagenica.com

Yes, 25% and Trichoxidil 2.5%. It's an oily liquid. I used it topically EOD and once a week with a dermaroller at 0.5mm

I don't think it will do anything for you if you are on oral Dutasteride.

Maybe have a loot into 17 a-estradiol. DHT is not currently causing your hair loss as it's suppressed with your oral dutasteride intake, it's probably your scalp free testosterone (which spikes with Dutasteride) and 17a-estradiol would help with that or other stronger anti androgens (RU which I don't recommend)
