Regular Member Sele Posted January 31 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 31 Approaching month 7 in one week. Some daylight shot (no direct sun). The hairs getting better in terms of that they feel similar to how my hair felt before on top of my head. On the left side (right side on the picture) I had very bad shock loss after surgery and late growth. It still looks thinner in comparison to the right side. I hope that will catch up after the year is over. I read that doubles and tripples grow slower and take more time. I still see thin hairs growing. So hope will get more density. Met a friend today I met 2 months ago last time. He said “oh my god you have so much hair now”. But under certain light (those strong spots in bathrooms) I feel it still looks thin. Hopefully will thicken up more. But in comparison to how it was before I am more than happy.

In the pictures it looks dense but sometimes under heavy bathroom light it looks not very dense.
Regular Member Wingtsun Posted March 31 Regular Member Share Posted March 31 @Sele thanks man. It looks nice. I know what you mean. Although I’m still at almost 6 months with Dr L. the density atm is pretty bad imo. I’m hoping for more.

Even from month 8 to 9 I had improvements. And for some it takes longer. Edited March 31 by Sele

It was a circular big area. I think those transplants grew later and then thickened up later. Regular Member Ake Posted May 31 Regular Member Share Posted May 31 (edited) I’m at the 7month mark with Dr L and I know exactly what you’re talking about with the harsh bathroom lights. Really amplifies the thin areas. Hope I get a boost in density like you. Fantastic hairline and results. Congrats 🙌 Edited May 31 by Ake 17/10/23 - 4117 Grafts FUE - Dr Kongkiat Laorwong
Regular Member roheezy Posted June 8 Regular Member Share Posted June 8 I've got my surgery scheduled for June 16, 2024 so I'm excited but also super nervous. @Sele, I am in the same situation I bit as you I think in that I'm a bit uninformed specifically with this doctor as he doesn't seem too talkative on WhatsApp. Anyways, I'm encouraged by your story (and others) on this forum that I've made the right choice. I'm flying in to Bangkok in a few days and will be living there until November so hopefully I can get the assistance I need post-treatment. Will definitely start posting here on my own thread once I start the process. I know I am going to be super stressed out but one of the questions I had relates to cutting your hair post-surgery. It seems a lot of people wait quite some time before getting their first haircut. I know I have to wait a few weeks but was hoping to just keep getting a 'buzzcut' or something similarly short while the hair grows so everything looks a bit more even. Does anyone have any reasons why I shouldn't be doing this? Thanks!

As a precaution, use a plastic guard and probably wait 3 weeks or so post-op before buzzing the recipient. You won't damage the grafts, but your head will be red and you'll want to be gentle as it's still recovering.

I'll reach out to a few barbers in the area beforehand to see if they can do this as I don't want to do it myself haha.
