Snappy92
Had my first procedure done yesterday with Dr Cooley in Charlotte North Carolina yesterday. I’ve been on min/fin for 8 years and finally decided I was ready. I chose Cooley because I love how natural his results look. I was extremely nervous but it was honestly a breeze. He was amazing and made the whole experience so easy. This is 11 months before the procedure This is about an hour after the procedure in my hotel room This is the next day I did not lower my hair at this time. I would absolutely recommend Cooley to anyone. Sorry it’s hard for me to get good pictures of all the grafts since we decided to keep my hair long on top. I will post more pictures in the coming months! Edited November 23, 2023 by Snappy92

Senior Member HappyMan2021 Posted November 23, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted November 23, 2023 why on earth was the recipient area not fully shaven?!?!? This is really strange to me. I definitely understand there are situations partial shave is appropriate, but in this specific circumstance I honestly don't understand why (at least for the recipient area) that it was not fully shaven. Dr. Cooley is a fantastic doctor and for all I know it will have 0% affect that it was not fully shaven, but I honestly am confused into the decision here. Can you clarify this? thanks. I bet the patient opted for it this way to help conceal the transplant throughout the recovery months

Dr Cooley very often does most of his HTs without shaving the patients recipient, i think you’ll see on this forum that most of his patients have a non-shave approach. Snappy92
Day 8 Figure I’d share my hairline and how great the donor area already looks. Sorry for the bad pictures and messed up haircut. I’ll be cutting it before returning to work in 4 days. It’s also very difficult to get good pictures of the grafts with longer hair covering them.
Regular Member 2Bulls Posted February 29 Regular Member Share Posted February 29 Shocked by how healed this looks on day 8. Have any updates? I’m considering this doctor for a touch up procedure.

Snappy92
Just over 9 month update. I’m currently growing my hair out a bit. The density is definitely way better. Couldn’t be happier with the results so far

Regular Member FallenIdol Posted September 7 Regular Member Share Posted September 7 Great result with not many too grafts. With the no shave technique you were looking pretty normal by day 8, and I’d never guess you’d had a transplant looking at your current photos.
