@Stewie legend congrats on your procedures !!

This was discussed, i was receptive at first. This is my 3rd overall HT (two with drM). Overall i have used 3000+, 2500, 1200 ish = 7000 scalp G give or take. As conservative as DrM he wants to leave some scalp G in the bank just in case and since my chest hairs have some characteristics as the scalp G we give it a try…knowing the cycles are different😕. In the first HT with drM we also used chest G and they are still there. At least thats what the periscope told. These chest hairs were used as fillers…finguers crossed. Also he doesnt want to overharvest the donor…i have a bunch of scars that hopefully smp will cover if i ever buzzcut. I hope this is my last HT i feel the same as you…at least iam a bit tired of the process.

The beard Gs used where from the neck down and he used all the black hairs i got left. I dye my beard…it is almost all white. And all the white hairs i have now in my head are beard. If i ever wants another ht and we use beard they will be whites…that is a setback but a thing to consider !

hope the best for you bro!

here a photo of beard with no dye going home after procedure

Ha thanks for the kind words :)

All makes sense for sure, and like I said I have hair envy as its so thick, I think looking at what you achieved last time, I think you'll be sorted after this one and will not need to endure another HT fingers crossed, yeah I am the same, tired of going through it all now haha, who knows hair greed might get me one day, lets see, ill never say never, but time will tell for us both

Good luck and happy growing mate!

Sorry, just this one last question - was the possibility of taking beard grafts from the chin and/or cheeks and moustache ever mentioned as a possibility? I am thinking about using beard grafts as a last resort and I seem to have the most of my beard on the chin and in the moustache, but I fear there might be scarring issues to be considered for this region...

No worries @Broni! It is a possibility to harvest from chin, cheeks and mustach. There are members here that have used these grafts. Just be sure the Dr you choose knows how to harvest them. Scaring in face and neck is almost none since the skin is more elastic than back of scalp! Other people have used sideburns too.

Thanks man, got it.
Where you from?

I strongly recommend and encourage everyone who is looking for a HT to make deep research and read hair network forums before choosing a Dr and a clinic for the surgery. I have studied this topic for 5 months and I was about to choose a turkish clinic when I understood that the quality, the process, the techniques used, skills and technical details are the most important. Then I decided to make an effort and double my budget for choosing the right Dr.

I have a question.

Do you see the different of how long the hairs are? For example chest hair are not going to be long as your normal or beard hair. Do you notice this

Hi there! I dont notice different hair lenght…maybe there are. Maybe because i have a haircut like every month. What i do see is different hair textures but not many. I can spot “one or two” beard hair. Also i can spot beard hairs by being white. The Dr try to use as many pigmented beard hairs as possible but some whent to scalp. Also if a hair was destined to be white it will be white anywhere you implant it as years goes by. Also the hair cycles are different. Some will fall out first than others…and then grow back again… thats why you have to well distribute beard and/or body hairs with your excisting hairs and implanted scalp hairs.  If you need grafts other than scalp, beard hairs are the 2nd option , then lastly chest.  Here a chart i found of Dr A. Bansal that talks about hair cycles.
Hope this helps.

Hey buddy @caveman thanks !! Right now iam in the ugly duck fkng face haha almost 3 mo from the 2nd ht back in march

I see you are researching in these days. There are a lot of good surgeons out there.
in regards to DrMs clinic in NJ ..i think he doest work there anymore…since like 2 years.  I think his clinics are in Brussels, Congo, and maybe Atlanta in special ocasions.
Hope you find your perfect solution…and hope the best for you !! dont hesitate to ask me anything.

Ahh that’s unfortunate news. I was hype when I saw he was in jersey haha but I don’t mind traveling. And thanks brotha I will definitely reach out

@omarca This is a incredibly well written write up. Where did you get your SMP done from ? Did it change color ? Also what did Dr Mwamba apply to your donor to make your FUE scars look whiter ?

Hello there @bigmistake the smp has not changed color since i got it back in 2018-2019….the only thing odd about it is that when there is no hair for the 3d effect for me it doesnt look good. When i first did the smp a had a lot of hair on top…but diffused but it look super good… years pass and i stoped meds, hair continue to fall and then it started to look bad.

drM did not apply anything for the fue scars…maybe because iam very white skin they look that way… maybe in the future i will do smp for fue scars in donor.
all the best !

Hello @sekiro109 waiting time is no more than a year after the consultation…depending on the procedure. The Dr is always present and may attend two patients a day (one with a small procedure and the other, the main patient). The charge per graft i dont remember very well…if your procedure is in USA or Brussels the charge per graft may vary. In Brussels i think cost per graft is less.
I recommed an in person consultation or at least a video conference consultation and you will receive a personalizad quote. Hope this helps!

@omarca Looking phenomenal! Just to clarify is Dr. M still working out of Atl? Would you be willing to share how much you paid? I am in Georgia, so I'd be interested in seeing how much it would cost local compared to overseas.

Hello @g4designs now a days i think the doctor is mainly focused in brussels and congo. Maybe in spacial occasions the team works in atlanta but you have to ask the clinic cause it is rare.
money wise bht is like 7-8$/grafts and scalp 5-6$/graft. Dont remember well since in euros is quoted diferent and the numbers are less.  Hope this helps
