Lurker 23
Hello all, Have been following this forum for some time and used feedback/ comments to help me decide upon my surgery. So thought I would take the opportunity to share my experience and progress. I had my surgery at the beginning of December with Dr Turan at Fue Capillar over the course of 2 days, equating to approx 3,700 grafts. Aware I have diffuse thinning was looking for hairline restoration (natural look) and improvement to the crown/ top area. The overall experience good but have a few mixed feelings. Appreciate this is still early days of the process and would be interested in any feedback/ advice from the community. Thanks Lurker

Lurker 23
Hi all, Just to clarify my current mixed feelings. These are based upon the design. Is the hairline potentially too conservative? As the corners remain quite high. Secondly, I’m slightly concerned about the patch on the back of my head below the crown. Is this this normal? Will this strengthen over time? You would need even more grafts for a lower hairline. the patch will be disappeared on the upcoming months too. So there’s nothing to worry about. Just be patient for your final result ! Regular Member translator Posted January 16 Regular Member Share Posted January 16 Could u pls provide more details? How old are you? Tell us more about the procedure itself - it was 2 days: how the hairline was planned, any pain after the procedure, swelling? Has shedding started yet? Any redness? How many days after the procedure the last photo was taken? Your donor looks strong to me - and I presume you will have good results.
Lurker 23
Hi all, just providing a response to the above questions. The photos above were taken before, 1 week, 2 weeks and 4 weeks after surgery. The surgery was across 2 days. The planning was done with the doctor and a technician present who drew this on and agreed with myself. Day one was extraction and transplant carried in two sittings and the left/ central frontal area transplanted carried out. Day two was the same again with the right frontal area and crown carried out. The procedure was largely pain free with the exception of the local aesthetic which I had twice in the morning and twice in the afternoon of both days. Which takes around 2 mins to administer. An update of today (6 and a half weeks) - I am most definitely in the shedding phase and experiencing quite bad dandruff/ flakiness and have been advised to use Nizoral shampoo. Which I have been using for around a week - with little difference. In terms of redness this doesn't seem too bad although may become more clear as shedding progresses. Whilst understanding that no hair line is perfect and any procedure would be an improvement - since I arrived home in the UK I have had concerns about the symmetry which family have pointed out. The angle of the widows peak seems to be different either side/ whilst one side is more rounded. I guess I will wait for the final result to pass full judgement. Attached photo is from 6 weeks and day of operation.
Regular Member translator Posted January 29 Regular Member Share Posted January 29 @Lurker 23 very nice. Good donor and good dr. are the recipe for good results - so seems that you are on the right track. For the front line, I don't see any issues there. Happy growing. LeeSmith
Honestly your hairline is fine, absolutely no one would notice or look that closely. How much did this cost total?
Regular Member BboyLimpin Posted January 29 Regular Member Share Posted January 29 Turan and Gur are both doing some great work. Do they still offer an option of per graft cost of $1.25 or do they only do package deals now? Also is it Dr Turan or Dr Gur that offer beard hair as an option? I know it is only one of them but cannot remember which one.
