Qamar
Hello everyone, Today marks the 6th day since I completed my first hair transplant with Dr. Munib Ahmed (FUEGENIX) on January 22, 2024. I am a 32-year-old individual from India who has grappled with hair loss since my early twenties. During my college days, I sought the advice of a dermatologist who recommended a regimen of finasteride 1mg and topical minoxidil 5%. I adhered to this medication for nearly four years, witnessing a decline in hair fall. Unfortunately, I discontinued the treatment without consultation, leading to a resurgence of my hair loss. I resigned myself to the belief that there was little I could do to salvage my hair, let alone slow down the process with medication. However, in 2021, my optimism was rekindled when I discovered HRN. This gave me hope that, if approached correctly, my hair loss issue could be addressed. My initial choice was to undergo treatment was with Eugenix. Despite residing in the Emirates, frequent travels to India were commonplace for me. After observing the results on the Eugenix on this website, I resolved to commence my treatment with them. I initiated contact with Eugenix via WhatsApp, where I was informed that I suffered from Norwood Grade 6 baldness, requiring around 3200 grafts after sharing my pictures. I wasn’t very sure by the assessment and I decided to travel to India and scheduled an in-person consultation with Dr. Das at their Mumbai clinic for a more accurate assessment of my condition and treatment plan. Dr. Das, in her kind and professional manner, informed me that my situation was not as severe as indicated by the picture quality, categorizing me as Norwood 6. She advised restarting my medication regime with finasteride and minoxidil, emphasizing the importance of stabilizing my hair loss before considering a transplant. I was told to come back again after a year and a half. I appreciated Eugenix's honesty and integrity in prioritizing my long-term hair health. While awaiting the results and stabilization of my hair loss through medication before returning to India for assessment, I discovered FUEGENIX. The natural-looking results posted by the clinic and patients on this website captured my attention. This prompted my initial consultation with Dr. Munib who came across very straightforward and kind person. He identified the crown and mid-scalp region as the primary problem areas after understanding my concerns. Dr. Munib proposed two approaches. The first involved addressing the front part and mid-scalp initially, followed by the crown for best coverage. However, this entailed two surgeries and a higher cost. The second option focused on the mid-scalp and crown only, with an emphasis on achieving good optical density and also assess my response to the treatment. I chose the latter option, aligning more closely with my current challenges in the crown area and mid-scalp, and considering the long-term viability of the donor area. Luckily i was also able to meet Dr. Munib last year when he visited Dubai and this also helped me in getting to know the Doctor better and his approach to the treatment. I secured the treatment date for January 22, 2024, and commenced the lengthy 8-month Schengen Visa application process. The visa application was in itself very time consuming and challenging. The visa was rejected twice and it was only three weeks prior to the treatment, the Visa was approved. Arriving in the Netherlands a day prior to my treatment, I booked a hotel near the clinic for a 4-day stay. On the treatment day, I reached the clinic at 7 am, meeting Dr. Munib. The procedure commenced at 7 am and concluded by 3 pm, utilizing a total of 2580 grafts. I am posting the pictures and each pictures are marked with date on it, to show the hair treatment journey. Finally the photos from the Clinic on the day of treatment. I am looking forward to document my journey here. And will post regularly with updates God willing. Please do share your feedback and views on this. Thank you.
Senior Member TakeAction Posted January 27 Senior Member Share Posted January 27 Wow, that's a really good response to the medication. With Dr. Munib's skill I doubt you'll need a second procedure. Those grafts will go a long way. The front looks pretty good already. What was the deal with the visa? Haven't heard of anyone else having to do that. Is that because you're an Indian citizen? Qamar
@TakeAction yes brother. Both Finasteride and minoxidil has played their role well till date 😀. I too don’t want to think for another HT for a long time and that was another reason I wanted to get it done under good hands. For the visa, yes it’s primarily because of whole immigration issue. The visa was rejected because they felt i won’t travel back. @Shadman thank you brother.

Tbh I think you'll be set for a very long time. Maybe down the road add or switch to dutasteride if need be. But after 5-6 months you probably won't have to think about hair for decades. 1 Dr. Ted Miln | 6005 grafts, FUT/FUE Combo | June 2024
