Regular Member DeltaQ Posted February 3 Regular Member Share Posted February 3 I have been looking for a while for a good and affordable clinic. I have had consultations with many clinics. My first ever consultation was with Dr. Lupanzula in 2019 I think where he told me that I have a donor reserve of 8000 grafts, back then he used to charge €3. After that I went a couple times to Dr. Bisanga and Kostis for Mesotherapy/PRP with Dutasteride. I also had some prp sessions at another clinic. Last year I contacted FueGenix in the Netherlands, he quoted me almost 9000€ but by the time I was able to arrange my finances his prices has tripled. Pekiner didn't want to do because of the diffused pattern. HLC quoted me 3€ per graft plus 200 extra for hotel and transfers. That's the background so a frequent reddit reader, I saw a post that Dr. Bekir left and started his own clinic so I acted immediately on that. And to not make the mistake of last time with FueGenix I arranged my finances quickly and went for the transplant on 25th and 26th. So here starts the report: he quoted me 3500-3800 making sure that I understand that I need to go for a conservative hairline because of my diffused pattern and that I will probably need a second session. I agreed and told him and I know the limitation of my donor and genetics thus we agreed on the date. Everything went flawless, Dr. Bekir asked if I was able to book the plane and hotel. 24th of January I arrived at Ankara airport, I was picked up by the driver. It was a luxurious van like the hairmills offer but I don't care. Thought I'd mention for those who care. He brought me to the hotel, I stayed at Green Park Hotel. I found the cheapest price on hotels.com but check around before booking. 25th of January I was picked up from my hotel and 8:30am and driven to the clinic. There Dr. Bekir asked me to fill in a medical form with details and sign some papers with possible side effects etc. He also check my blood reports which I had with me already. Then he started to check my donor and recipient area, marking everything and calculating the capacity. The nurses then shaved my head. We started discussing the hairline. Initially he drew the temples a little bit higher so I asked him to bring them down a little so we agreed on that. He said that he'd go for 40 grafts/cm2 on the hairline and 25grafts/cm2 in the middle. So I would need around 3495 grafts. Then we went to the operation room. The nurses then gave me a gown and inserted a cannula. They checked my blood pressure. They gave me antibiotic and I was asked to laydown on the chair. And then the worst worst worst worst part began the anaesthesia. I can't stress how painful it was. I was reading some other posts maybe Dr. Bekir should offer some valium because damn those needles hurt like a bitch. Anyways after enduring that for 5 minutes (which felt like 5 hours) the extraction began. Didn't feel anything but when sometimes when I felt like I felt something I just asked for more anaesthetic to be safe. After that we had a short break about 400 grafts in. We had some tea and then we continued. The session ended with the extraction of 871 grafts. Then we had a short break again, toilet and tea. Afterwards we started with the 2nd hell, anesthesia of the recipient area. Dr. Bekir uses stick and place method, he sticks the recipient and then his nurse places the graft and then he positions it. After that we had lunch, it was too much so I had enough leftover for the evening. After we repeated the extraction, break and implantation of 910 grafts. They bandaged me and I was dropped off at the hotel at 9pm. 26th of January picked up at 8:30am. Again anesthesia and extraction, short break and implantation. This time 977 grafts. Lunch break. Second session, 867 grafts. It was done. These sessions were more comfortable as they more laying on the side than on the belly and since I was already a little numb from yesterday the anesthesia injections hurt less. Dr. Bekir did everything himself from extraction to incision to implantation. Only basic stuff was done by his nurses which also came with him from HLC. They sort and count the grafts. Also important to mention, it was least painful insertion of the canula I ever experienced. Thanks Beyza. Next day around 10am I was picked up from the hotel for bandage removal. All done my Dr. Bekir, we took some pictures and then my airport transfer brought me to the airport. I was very swollen from day 2 tot day 4 but the medication he prescribed worked. All in all a good experience now the most important part is to see results so I will keep you guys posted. Price: 1,75 per graft till the summer. I got tired of writing by the end so I forgot something just ask 🤷🏻♂️
Senior Member Gramatik Posted February 3 Senior Member Share Posted February 3 (edited) Happy growing. The design looks awesome. Dr Bekir is a great surgeon in turkey, who is doing the whole procedure by himself (from extraction to implantation), like you said. Can you tell us the cost/ graft that Dr Bekir quoted you? Senior Member Vann Posted February 13 Senior Member Share Posted February 13 I had gone to HLC and had Bekir doing the implant and I have to say it looks orettt similar to mine (work wise). I was not aware he had parted ways with HLC and it seems like some other staff did as well. Nonetheless, thanks for sharing and happy growing! Regular Member RisinStar Posted March 18 Regular Member Share Posted March 18 Hi @DeltaQ Thx for the very detailed report. I had a very similar experience as you: I contacted FUEgenix first, but in 2 years time he suddenly tripled his price to a price level I've never seen. He's good, but seen the price I won't contact him again and I will consult other clinics. If I understood right, you also did dutasteride mesotherapy, is that correct? How did that work for you and will you do it again later? I'm currently taking oral dutasteride but of course it's giving me side effects, so I'm very curious to hear if mesotherpay worked for you. Yeah, he has become very expensive. Mesotherapy with Dutasteride gave me severe side. My testosterone levels dropped severely. My GP had to prescribe me a gel to get it back up to normal levels. I wouldn't recommend it.

Thx for your honest feedback mate because on the internet most clinics present mesotherapy as a solution without side effects, which is clearly not always the case.

Indeed my GP was shocked how low my t went. You can see it went from 529,4 ng/dl (and this was on topical finasteride so also not my normal levels) to 120 Ng/dl.
