Regular Member aceman Posted May 5 Regular Member Share Posted May 5 So I had two FUT procedures with Dr. Hasson and as you might expect the results were very good. However, that was about 10 years ago now and I cannot take any medications either oral or topical because it significantly affects libido. I have lost more hair around the top crown area so want to replace that. The front area looks really good. However, the cost difference for transplants in Turkey is very significant compared to Dr. Hasson or the US in general where I live. I probably would do better now with FUE because my scalp was "tight" to begin with and of course, with two procedures I'd be better off going to other doner areas. The good news is I have good density in the donor areas. Opinions?
Senior Member jjsrader Posted May 5 Senior Member Share Posted May 5 (edited) Yea - microdose Cialis daily and get back on meds! Ahahaha! They say location is not the determining factor - cost can be (to a degree). Since you've gone 'world class' on the FUT's don't you deserve to keep your standards for crown work equally high w/perhaps finding & up & coming 'crown' surgeon who has trained w/the best if you want to buy at a discount. Best of luck & keep us informed! Cheers... Edited May 5 by jjsrader

I'm not looking to get "budget" work done still want world class work but I enjoy traveling and I'd need to travel to Dr. Hasson as well (just a shorter flight). So that's why I am considering Turkey because of its excellent reputation in general.
Senior Member jjsrader Posted May 5 Senior Member Share Posted May 5 In that general vicinity I would look at surgeons in Greece, then pop over to do your vacation in Turkey. However, I am sure other members have thoughts on the multitude of Turkey clinics available. There is a MASSIVE difference long-term for FUE extractions & yield for surgeons completely hands on or w/1 or 2 assistants who are using the most advanced FUE punches & extraction & cleaning along the way not to mention custom blade sizes for incision sites et al. Just saying since you have already had two most likely rather large FUT surgeries. Travel is the good stuff in life - I get it. peace...

A very undeserved reputation - most options in Turkey are terrible, with only a small number of clinics doing HT work to a higher level. Personally if you’ve had a couple of successful FUT’s and now want to finish the job a bit cheaper, I’d be looking at someone like Dr Loarwong in Thailand. In terms of a very experienced surgeon with lots of independent reviews producing very high level work at a budget price, I’m struggling to think of a better alternative. Senior Member Doron Harati Posted May 5 Senior Member Share Posted May 5 Best suggestion, do not go to a cheap hair mill in Turkey. You need high skilled MD surgeon to balance your donor with your FUT scars, also it's more challenging to extract grafts near by the strips. HDC Hair Clinic is in Cyprus near to Greece, you can check many independent reviews on us, we offer affordable rates, if you interested in consultation your welcome to contact me on WhatApp 1 Doron Harati - Patient coordinator for HDC Hair Clinic, HT procedures are done by MD Doctors with Microscope FUE. Also, I think there is a MISCONCEPTION in my post. I am NOT looking for a "cheap hair mill." There are 4 recommended doctors from Turkey on this forum. The way I found Hasson & Wong originally was through this forum and this was back in 2013 and hair transplantation has come a LONG way even in that 10+ years. But the point being they were expensive then and still very expensive due to the high cost of living in that area. I don't mind paying for an excellent doctor. But I am not necessarily "stuck" on Turkey. My question is what doctor would be doing the procedure--I don't see any recommended doctors from Greece. Regular Member aceman Posted May 5 Author Regular Member Share Posted May 5 You can see here even after 10+ years and not using any medications, I still have good coverage in the frontal area. But it's the crown area I need some more work and certainly some more coverage in the frontal area would be welcome! :)
Senior Member Doron Harati Posted May 6 Senior Member Share Posted May 6 From first glance it looks like your crown needs around 2500, maybe a bit more due to thin fine blonde hair. Frontal I don't see any thinning from this view, you need to reveal empty areas. We are not from Greece, we are from Cyprus, it's an Island that close to Greece and Turkey, you can see us on the recommendation list. I did my repairs here at HDC by Dr. Maras and Dr. Christina (Not claiming you need a repair), we have experience with casee like your, at consultation we'll see you're precise measurements then evaluate accurately your case.
