Visually beard Vs scalp?

(NW7) I’m anticipating a surgeon suggesting I use beard hair as an option for a HT, but from my experience (when grown over 1cm in length) there is a distinct & obvious difference between my scalp hair Vs my beard hair that puts me on the back foot when looking for consistency.

Assuming I keep the back & sides tight in the future & this being the likely area where scalp hairs will be extracted for distribution - can my beard hairs be inserted into the very same holes my scalp hair originated if the numbers add up?
