Dr. Kulakarn Amonpattana - BHI Clinic (Bangkok, Thailand)/ AGA Class 6 undergo with 3,051 FUG graft done by FUE [ Shaven] and intraoperative PRP

Patient’s information

- 71 YO Asian male with AGA Class 6.  Salt and pepper in hair color

 - Underlying medical  history: Hyperlipidemia on medication

 

We performed shaven FUE procedure and PRP[ Platelets rich plasma injection]. The machine usage was Trivellini’s MAMBA. The punch size was 0.95 mm, flare tip. The implanting method by implanters.

Most of the hair grafts were put on the frontal hairline and backward to the vertex area.

The hairline was drawn in adult maturing fashion as the patient’s is beyond his 60’s already.

We prescribed the topical 5% Minoxidil but he continued to use it only 2 months after surgery. His background is a Doctor of Medicine, and he did not want to continue any medical treatment.

The number of grafts breaks down into

1 hair graft x 895

2 hair graft x  1,885

3 hair graft x 271

Total  = 3,051 FUG

Ratio of hair per graft =  1.8

 

The photos show 8 months and then 1 year after hair transplantation.

Appropriately conservative hairline, good integration of the transplanted hairs within the existing native hairs, and definitely a bit of a combover to enhance the look (not a bad thing).

do you think it would be possible to implant the crown a bit more in a second procedure?

 

even though i could imagine that patient is already thrilled and doesnt even want a second procedure even if it would be possible
