Markmyhair
Hello I’m closing into 6 months post op of 1750 grafts on the hairline and temples. Growth is taking place and it starts to look decent, I went already through the shedding all the way up to 4 months but some areas may look slightly worse now at 6 than at 4 My question is that, daily when I simply, gently put some water in my hands and slick my transplanted hair back , I get some hairs that are clearly transplanted on my hands, they are short, some very thick others quite thin and seems that those hairs already shed once Is normal to shed hairs still, I thought now these hairs are anagen, why would they shed twice? I’m on dutasteride and finasteride I hope you can clarify this doubt as I’m confused thanks much
mero1748
I‘m no expert but I would say that shedding can occur for various factors, not only depending on the hair cycle. For example thorugh diseases, stress, skin conditions, nutrition, or simply break through pressure. I wouldn‘t worry to much, the grafts should be perfectly secured and will continue growing again and again.
